context- shibby goes to speak to vivian after the engagement ring incident in the corridor.
TW- mentions of domestic violence and abuse."viv, wait." Siobhan started to speed up her walking, trying to catch up with the woman infront of her.
"viv please speak to me." she begged.
Vivian kept walking, yet started to get slightly tense. "i don't want to hear it siobhan."
"Vivian it's not how it seems." Siobhan continued.
"That's a big arse jewel on your finger. i think i can gather pretty much everything there is to know." Vivian rubbed the back of her neck, still refusing to turn and look at Siobhan who was now practically side by side with her.
Just as vivian approached the door, and reached for the handle, siobhan grabbed her arm.
"Vivian" her grip loosened as her eyes began to well with tears.
Vivian looked as if she was taken aback. She knew the blonde wasn't completely heartless, but she never saw her showing such strong emotion. It was unusual; it was almost scary, yet not in a bad way.
Viv was met with a pit in her stomach as she stared into the pools of watery blue in front of her.
"You mean it?"
Siobhan couldn't do anything other than nod. She herself wasn't used to showing emotion as heavily as this. It was new, overwhelming.
"We'll go to the coffee shop today." Vivian surveyed the face that stood before her.
She watched as her face dropped; fear filled behind the deep blue eyes that stared directly into her own. Her mouth slightly opened, as if she was going to say something in return.
Taking in a shaky breath, Siobhan looked at Vivian.
"i can't." This time, her eyes welled more intense. There was a barrier between them and they both wanted nothing more than to be rid of it.
"You can. We're going to get you out of this." Vivian rubbed siobhan's arm, trying her hardest to be a comfort.
"You'll be safe, i promise. we can talk there. He wouldn't know where we are."The drive to the coffee shop felt tense. Not because of eachother, rather because of someone else.
The man they both hated; the man who had control over them.
The man that locked everyone's lives away in chains and vaults.Getting out of the car and walking up towards the doors was the scariest walk siobhan had ever taken. Her hands trembled as she grasped the handle, allowing herself to pass through the doorway after Vivian.
Vivian noted her shakes, giving her a look of reassurance.
"take a table. I'll order."
Siobhan did just that, finding a table at the back, in the corner. a table that couldn't be seen or found from the outside.
Her nails tapped on the table anxiously. She couldn't help it. Her mind raced as she thought about him; the devil in disguise.
It was hard for her to deal with such intense emotion; normally she felt nothing at all.
Shortly after, Vivian returned with the coffees.
"black americano for you. flat white for me. who is he siobhan."
Looking up from the table, she was surprised by how straight forward Vivian's words were. She stuttered as she felt her voice begin to break, and her legs begin to shake. "Roger." Her voice was shaken. "I don't want to marry him. Vivian i-" Their eyes met as she struggled to finish her conversation. That was when they were interrupted by a sudden tsunami of messages, each one straight after the other. A sense of rage filled the air between them.
"I've got to go." Siobhan started to grab her bag.
"No you don't. Stay." Vivian grabbed her hand.
As siobhan's phone started to ring, she looked at vivian, desperate to leave.
"let me answer." Vivian glazed back at her, rubbing her thumb against the back of siobhan's palm.
Reluctantly, Siobhan gave her the phone.
This was a huge step forward, yet made her choke. It made the air around her feel small. Like there was none left.
She stared at the blank wall infront of her, everything dead silent.
That was until she heard Vivian's voice on the phone. She trembled as vivian rubbed her hand softly."Yes. I'm a friend." Vivian spoke into the phone. "May i just ask, are you the fiancé?"
Siobhan looked over towards Vivian, her eyes filled with terror.
Still, Vivian continued. "Well, i just haven't heard much about you. Most i've heard is work related. You know, the old boring stuff like the fact you're the owner and what not."
Vivian looked Siobhan in the eyes, slightly raising her eyebrows to reassure her.
"She went to the toilet. She can call you when she's back. Bye." Vivian put the phone back onto the table."Vivian i-"
