5:25 pm.
Charlotte was getting ready to finish work, ready to pack all her things and finally leave.
It had been a stressful day, nothing new. Screaming babies and crying children were something charlotte could deal with, what really stressed her was the perverted dads.
Being used to it didn't mean she was okay with it, at all. Charlotte knew that nobody else was either, but it happened so often she felt like she would constantly be pestering Marjorie, so she just chose to ignore it.
One thing that did keep her positive though, was her anniversary.
A special day which she could spend with the love of her life.

The woman who showed her what real love looked like, the woman who showed her what is was like to feel pure happiness.
The woman who saved her during the darkest place in her entire life.
Mia.

Thinking about the beautiful red head made her smile. Packing up her things, she couldn't wait just to sink into her arms.
She didn't expect any plans, she just wanted to sit, and talk. Simply to spend time with her favourite person on earth.
Just like they did the first time. To have their fingers intertwined, and their eyes interlocked.
Snapping herself from her trance, charlotte finished putting her things in her bag, and locked the door.

She jumped slightly after feeling a warm hand on her waist.
"hey baby" hearing a voice, charlotte immediately recognised.
Mia.
"Amelia Roberts you scared me!"
Charlotte laughed at her.
"Not my intention, but i'll take it." Mia giggled softly in return, placing her other hand around Charlottes waist, pressing her body slightly against her back.
Charlotte dropped her head back onto mia's shoulder. "i expected you to be at home. Not that i'm complaining" She smiled, locking her gaze with Mia's.
"I know, but i thought i'd drive you home."
Mia lost her thoughts within Charlottes eyes.
Majestic.
The big blue orbs reminded Mia of the ocean, submerging her in the waves every time she entered Charlottes presence.
Charlotte felt the same way. Being around Mia made her feel safe. Mia's beauty overwhelmed her.
"But what about my car?" Charlotte questioned softly.
"I'll drop you in tomorrow, don't worry sweetheart."  Mia smiled.
"Okay then" Charlotte smiled as she finished locking the door.
"Come on then" Mia winked and pulled Charlotte  slightly by her waist, making Char laugh as she stumbled.
Waving at marjorie as she left, Charlotte locked her fingers in between Mia's, rubbing Mia's hand with her thumb.
Extending her hand for the car door, Mia pulled char into her as she opened it.
She giggled as she noticed how flustered Char suddenly looked.
"Get in baby."
Giving Mia gentle kiss on the cheek , Charlotte lowered herself into the car. "Thank you."
Mia shut the door behind her, and walked around the car into her own seat. Pausing for a moment, she watched Charlotte through the window.
She was so beautiful. Effortlessly beautiful.
Charlotte put on her seatbelt before noticing Mia hadn't gotten in yet. Turning her head towards the drivers side, she noticed Mia watching her intently.
It put a smile on her face. Knowing how much Mia had been through, she had always wondered how she could be such a loving, genuine human, despite the hard armour she protects herself with.
She let out a giggle as Mia snapped from her daydream.
They both adored each other with their whole hearts.
Opening the door, she noticed Charlottes aroma. "That's my perfume you're wearing isn't it?"
Charlotte answered; "first of all, yes, i hope you don't mind, it just reminds me of you, that's all."
She grabbed her necklace. She did that a lot without realising.
"And second of all, what was you doing out there?" She laughed.
"i thought there was a scratch on the door, that's all" Mia looked down.
"if you say so" Laughing, charlotte looked Mia up and down. She knew she was lying, it made her look so innocent, especially when she was embarrassed, but Charlotte didn't mind, she secretly admired it. It was just another thing to add to the list of what she loved about her girlfriend. Which was everything about her.
"Let's get you home sweetheart" Mia placed a hand on Charlotte's thigh as she began to drive out of the car park.
Placing her hand ontop of Mia's, Charlotte looked at her love. "I love you. Happy anniversary"
"Happy anniversary sweetheart" Mia turned to look at her girlfriend for a moment, before looking back at the road.
The rest of the car ride, the pair spend the time talking about how their days had been, but Charlotte only mentioned the positives. Never the negatives.
Mia pulled into their driveway, smirking as she did so.
She got out of the car, and quickly opened Charlottes door before she could herself.
"What are you being so kind for?" Charlotte giggled as she exited the car.
"I'm always kind" Mia shut the car door behind them.
"Anyways, come on. I want to show you something." She grabbed Charlottes hand and rushed towards their front door, unlocking it with her keys.
"close your eyes!" Mia rushed behind her girlfriend, covering Charlottes eyes with her hands anyway, slowly leading her into the house, and into the dining room.
Charlotte chuckled as she held onto Mia's arms for support.
"Open" Mia said as she removed her hands from Charlottes face.
Opening her eyes, Charlotte scanned her eyes across the room.
In the middle was the circular dining table, covered with a beautiful, satin table cloth.
A plate either side with a wine glass sat infront of both chairs.
The room was aglow from the candles placed precisely across the table.
They flickered, creating a golden aura across the table.
Mia watched as her girlfriends face lit up with joy, the candlelight glimmering in her ocean eyes.
Each intricate detail perfected the display, each rose petal placed individually across the wooden table.
Charlotte turned to Mia, throwing herself into her girlfriend's arms.
Mia held her back, as she started to feel the slight sniffles coming from Char.
"Baby?" Mia questioned , pulling away to see Charlottes face. "Are you okay?"
"Yes, i'm fine. I'm perfect. This is perfect. You're perfect, Mia." Char nuzzled her head back into Mia's chest.
"Don't cry baby. I love you to. Forever." Mia stroked Charlottes hair, twisting each strand around her fingers gently.
"This is the first of many. I will watch the world burn if it means making you happy. I'm spending the rest of my life with you Char." Mia kissed the top of Charlottes head.
lifting up her head, Charlotte wiped her tears.
"Oh Amelia. I wouldn't know what to do without you" Placing a hand onto the back of Mia's neck, she gently pulled her closer, placing her lips onto her girlfriends.
Mia allowed herself to sink into her kiss, placing her hands onto charlottes waist.
Pure love.
That's what they had for eachother.
Nothing could change that.
Eventually, they separated, as Mia pulled out a chair for Charlotte, gesturing for her to sit in it.
"Happy anniversary, sweetheart."
