"I honestly don't know why you don't just quit that job. Leo is such a shitty boss." Rachel said as she flopped onto my bed.
"Because it's the only thing I have right now. It's a horrible job, but it's got great pay." I said after I finished zipping up my dress. It was an hour before Bruce Wayne's party. Rachel and I were both going, me because I was ordered, Rachel because Mr. Wayne is madly in love with her.
"I bet Selina is so jealous that you get to go to this party." Rachel stated.
"Yeah, well, she doesn't have to walk around with a cocktail tray, looking pretty, and making sure the rich people don't get dehydrated. She'd actually get to enjoy herself." Rachel laughed.
"That's true."
"So, didn't you have some sort of investigation going on about Arkham? How's that going?" I asked, putting my hair up into a messy bun looking thing.
"Yeah, the head psychologist, Dr. Crane, is up to something, I know it. But, I can't prove anything because he keeps it all hidden somewhere."
"Tough break. There's another reason I'm not quitting. Nothing crazy ever happens at Wayne Manor. You have to deal with this shit almost every day." I grabbed a pair of blue earrings to put on.
"What do you think?" I asked.
"Amazing" Rachel gave a thumbs up, "Are you finished? We're gonna be late!"
"Well, if we are, we'll be fashionably late."
"Gwyn!"
"Alright, alright! Let's go, I'm ready!"
