it was 4th period, and rowan only had until 6th period until lunch.
he was very hangry, school had worn him out and he didnt wanna do anything else. rowan needed something the occupy his hands but he didnt have anything but pens and pencils, he never wants to be the person that taps a pencil.
never ever, as long as hes alive.
and to make it all worse the classrooms were hotter than than the sahara desert, he was sweating like a whore in church.
"rowan, do you have the answer to the question?" rowan snapped out of his trance and looked at his reading teacher, miss. aria, a chubby women with squinty eyes, rosy skin and thick black hair.
rowan had no idea what the question was in the first place, so he had no fucking idea what the anser was. he hadnt even been listening until miss. aria had asked him a question he didnt know the context of.
"no mam" he said, rowan could see her eyes getting even more squinty than they already where and she scowled.
"alright then, rowan...how about you bella?"
"yes miss aria" bella said, he didnt listen to the answer and continued to stare out the windiw into the courtyard, where a couple students were hiding , smoking ciggarettes, and laughing. he didnt say anything though or raise his hand to snitch to the teacher.
he didnt really care. honestly, he couldnt anymore. he sometimes wishes he was one of those kids that smoked in the cortyard. but he didnt have the tim pr courage to do that. he couldnt disapoint his mother and skip class to smoke ciggarettes in the courtyard and laugh with friends, he couldnt afford to let his grades drop and make his mother concerned for him. there was no point in even thinking about it anymore, so he looked back to the board and stared into the void until he heard the shrill chime of the school bell. he has to admit that the sound made him jump up in surprise. he quickly grabs his bag, avoided the teachers disaprving stare and walks out the door. off to his next class...
ugh.
now he only had one more period until he finally got to sit down and eat his lunch. unless he decided to spend his lunch in the library like he usually did to avoid the horrible sounds that is the pandemonium that is the middle school cafeteria. he hated loud noises, they hurt his ears and made his bands itch because of nerves, he would get a headache and it would just...hurt.
rowan couldnt wait until he got to eat and devour his lunch.
he sat down on one of the horribly hard chairs and pulled out his books.
"class, open your books" the teacher, mr. jackson said.
mr.jackson was a strict, empty looking man that seemed to hate his life and took it out on the students he was supposed to be teaching.
rowan hated him. he was a sad and solem teacher that had torchured students for the 24 years he had taught, as he constantly pointed out to the students.
the class went by very slowly, there was nothing to do. everytime he tapped his foot or zoned out, mr.jackson would slap his ruler on the desk and say "is there a problem rowan" in an extremely condesending tone.
Of course, like the good boy he wanted to pretend he was, he would say "no sir" with a tight lipped smile. Mr.jackson would go back to teaching and every so often frown in rowan's direction.
When he finally made it through 5th and 6th period, mildly unscathed. mentally at least. He started to go to the library, not wanting to go into the crowded lunch room.
The thing that made him stop was that there was another person in the library.
A boy with dark brown hair, almost black, with green eyes that were staring into a book, slightly pale skin, and a scrawny figure.
The boy was wearing schoolboy shorts, a button up and jacket. He was hunched over a mathematics book for a highschooler.
"I know you're there"
Rowan froze and chuckled nervously.
"Well..hello to you to"
