I wasn't thinking straight as I flew toward the town hall, straining my wings and kicking my legs to try and get faster as I saw a dark mare with a flowing nebula themed mane and tail and a crescent moon for a cutie mark laughing inside, knocking a few stallion knights away as I burst through the window and charge up my horn to get her by surprise as she stopped laughing and turned to look at me.

She yells out as I manage to get one blast on her before I crash into her and knock her down to the ground, irritating her as I shakily got up and tried to ignore the throbbing ache in my wings "Crys?! what are you doing?! you're gonna hurt your wings if you keep pushing them!" I looked over at Pinkie Pie, Rarity, Applejack, Rainbow Dash, and Fluttershy after they moved to get closer to each other "Pinkie I couldn't just-" I get cut off with a yelp by a nebula tail wrapping around me and pulling me over to the darker mare as she seethed in anger before chuckling.
"I'll admit, you got the jump on me, but no puny unicorn like you is gonna get a second-" the Alicorn stops when she sees the trembling wings and laughs coldly upon realization "an Alicorn foal? oh this is rich, I haven't seen another Alicorn in ages, let alone a foal-" the mare grunts in pain again after a bowl hits her in the back of the head and breaks when it hits the floor "Crys! down here!" Pinkie yelled as I charged up my horn and teleported out of the mare's hold, and hid behind Pinkie Pie.
The mare growls in anger before she changes into a puff of smoke and flees, Rainbow Dash trying to chase after her before stopping when the puff of purple smoke enters the Everfree forest while I see Twilight and Spike run from the town hall back to the library and I quickly follow in worry.
once she gets too the library she sets Spike down at his bed to sleep before she looks around the shelves for something "miss Twilight?" I call out quietly as Twilight goes tense, turns around, and sees me waiting by the door of the library "Crys? what are you doing here? why aren't you with Pinkie?" Twilight asked with concern before she glances at my wings and winces "oh Crys, your wings" I look back at my wings too to see the base of them is definitely bruised and bleeding a little from overuse and from Nightmare Moon holding me in a crushing grip earlier with her tail, before I shake my head "that doesn't matter, I want to help with whatever it is your doing with that alicorn-" Twilight shakes her head and lightly pushes me towards the door with an unwavering expression.
"No, I can't let you help me fight Nightmare Moon... this is something I have to do alone with the elements of harmony-" "and just what are the elements of harmony?" Rainbow Dash asks with a glare towards Twilight after moving past me and getting in her face "and just how do you know so much about Nightmare Moon huh? are you a spy? woah!" she asks before Applejack pulls her away from Twilight by her tail.
"Simmer down sally, she ain't no spy, but she does know what's happening, don't you Twilight?" Applejack asks, she and the others moving closer to twilight as the purple mare looked around before sighing "I read all about the prediction of Nightmare Moon... some mysterious objects called the elements of harmony are the only things that can defeat her" Twilight explains before looking out the window toward the moon.
