Karen leaned forward slightly, her curiosity piqued. "So, Y/n, what was your reaction when you found out that Mikha is a singer? And how did you feel about her family, especially with all the influence her dad has?"

Mikha's expression remained cold as she spoke up. "Actually, ever since Y/n found out about my family's influence, she ghosted me for weeks. It was like she couldn't handle the reality of it all."

Flashback

Lying on her bed in her childhood home, Y/n felt the weight of the world pressing down on her chest. The familiar surroundings of the countryside, which once brought her comfort, now seemed suffocating. She had been avoiding Mikha for weeks, unable to face the pain and confusion that had taken root in her heart since she learned the truth about Mikha's father. The silence in her room was deafening, amplifying the ache that had settled deep within her.

She stared at the ceiling, the memories of her time with Mikha playing over and over in her mind. The warmth they once shared now felt distant, like a fading dream she couldn't quite grasp. She wanted to cry, to scream, but all she could do was lie there, feeling utterly helpless.

Suddenly, the silence was broken by the sound of her phone buzzing on the nightstand. It was her brother.

"Y/n," he said, urgency in his voice, "may helicopter sa labas... Mikha's here. She's waiting for you."

Y/n's heart skipped a beat. She quickly got up, her emotions a whirlwind of anxiety and longing. She rushed outside, her heart pounding in her chest. As she stepped into the garden where they first met, she saw Mikha standing there, her expression unreadable.

Mikha's voice cut through the air, sharp and filled with hurt. "Hindi ka ba masaya nandito ako!?"

The words hit Y/n like a punch to the gut. Without thinking, she ran toward Mikha, the tears she had been holding back finally spilling over. As she reached Mikha, she wrapped her arms around her tightly, the familiar scent and warmth of Mikha filling her senses.

Mikha, still stiff with anger and hurt, hesitated but then slightly pulled back from the embrace. Her expression softened when she saw Y/n's tear-streaked face. Gently, she reached up and wiped the tears from Y/n's cheeks, her touch tender despite the tension between them.

It was a moment of fragile connection, where the hurt was palpable, but so was the undeniable bond they shared.

Flashback end

Mikha's cold expression remained as she continued, her voice steady but laced with emotion. "I looked for her everywhere. I couldn't understand why she would just disappear like that, without a word. But the more I searched, the more I realized... there's no one else who makes me feel the way Y/n does. No one else who makes me feel... loved."

The room fell into a tense silence as Mikha's words settled in. Y/n shifted uncomfortably in her seat, her heart aching at the confession. She knew Mikha was right—she had ghosted her, unable to process the truth about Mikha's family and what it meant for their relationship. But hearing Mikha's voice break slightly, revealing the depth of her feelings, brought an overwhelming sense of guilt and longing to the surface.
