His English isn't the best. He knows most words but will occasionally misuse them. The name he used to do drag under was Krystall Nacht.

History:
Yitzhak's childhood was unsurprisingly messy. Politics, identity, it all swirled into the perfect outsider. The youngest son, he had always been in the background. Doted on by an older sister, egged on by an older brother and forgotten by his parents, Yitzhak found his true family on the radio.
The American and English musicians sang to him in a way nothing else ever did save for maybe his future wife. He found in those songs his soul.
By the time he was in his early twenties, he was a drag queen performing under the name Krystall Nacht, the Last Jewess of the Balkans. Maybe not the most polite alias, but Yitzhak was never one to blend in or hide himself. No matter the slurs, no matter when he got spit on. In Krystall, in those dresses, he was free.
Eventually, he moved to America where he met and fell in love with Hedwig. Soon enough, she'd started a band and Yitzhak was in the background again. Dressed in black, carrying the equipment, singing backup, playing guitar. Whatever Hedwig needed. He would brush her wigs, tend to her clothes.
And each time he did, it was more and more painful. The glamor, the dresses, he needed it. He never really felt like he was Yitzhak. Yitzhak was false, Krystall was real. But Hedwig, continuing old cycles, never allowed it. Jealousy, insecurity, she just couldn't let him be himself. If Hedwig was trapped in her own body, then Yitzhak had to be trapped in his. She was the star, not him.
On occasion, he rebels against her. He tries on a wig, sings a little too loud. It never ends well for poor Yitzhak, but he's a stubborn motherfucker. She might yell, she might even hit him or destroy his passport, but he won't stop. He'll clean up and keep going. It's not admirable, it's not good, it's just Yitzhak.
But they need each other. They love each other. Hedwig crushes and Yitzhak lifts. Eventually, he wins. Hedwig does it on her own, make no mistake, but without the support of her husband she never could have. She realizes that she's a whole person and not necessarily a woman. Hedwig is Hedwig, not a broken half and Yitzhak? Yitzhak is Krystall.

Yes this is rushed but I wanted something out there. I hope to improve it and give a fuller backstory soon.
