I stood in front of the mirror, my eyes travelled on my white lengha which has golden work on it. This is the same lehnga I bought with Karnish.

And this dress is a perfect blend of elegance and royalty. To be honest I’m ain’t into traditional attire, it’s not like I hate it but I’m more used to western dresses.

Lenhga is blended with peach and white with off shoulder blouse giving a good view of my collar bone.

It is very rare to see me in a traditional outfit. But anyway I like what I was wearing today.

Makeup in minimum with one set of jewellery. Truth to be told, I was looking stunning. Absolutely perfect.

I don’t depend on anyone to compliment when I can praise myself. You know why?

This world is filled with lies who knows a person standing next to you and praising you is ready to stab anytime soon.

I don’t need anyone’s validation.

I knew my worth and never rely on anyone to make me feel beautiful and powerful.

“What kind of ridiculous relationship is this, di?” A voice drags me out of my thoughts. I looked at my sister who was looking at me with a questioning look.

I blinked my eyes multiple times trying to look innocent even though she knows I’m not and asked. “What?” As if I don’t know anything

I looked at the jimmy who was looking at me with mouth open, tilted head and tongue out, and then at my sister Ahana.

“Why are you marrying him, when you don’t even like him?” She raised her voice. I glared at her audacity of raising her voice.

She can’t talk to me like that. She slightly escaped a long exhale and looked at me. “It’s a business alliance. Ask dad to find a better match for you.”

“It’s a business alliance that’s why. Only business and profits. No emotional strings, no unnecessary interference in my life.”  I said in a monotonous tone. It was true but with the glint of partial lies.

My eyes landed on Jimmy, who has now shut his mouth and then at Ahana.

Exhaling a long sigh, she shook her head and said. “Do as you wish.”

The door of my room swing opened, revealing five figures standing there, Arjun, Agastya, Nitya, Noor and Angrea, my assistant.

They all dressed in traditional white outfits. White was the theme colour which is why we are wearing white.

“Waooow.” Nitya and Noor exclaimed with excitement. I mumbled Thank you.

Agastya, Arjun and Angrea all were looking at me with adoration.

“Can’t believe my bitch is getting engaged.” Nitya says, looking at me with a smile. I looked at her and says “I’m ain’t going anywhere right now.”
