This chapter is dedicated to aimeejoseph23, for being a good friend, also a fellow writer, and scriptwriting buddy. She asked for more length and dialogue, and I said "hold my beer". So, you all have her to thank for this.

So, yeah, surprise! You were probably expecting a new chapter tomorrow but I decided to do an early release tonight instead while you are probably asleep. I spent about 13 hours, from 6am till 7pm without food or water, writing this part of the story, and it's the longest part yet of about 5,500 words. I hope this keeps your hungry eyes satisfied for another week before the Ragoi chapters actually begin in Tragic Skies. So, without further ado, enjoy the story of the name that began it all, enjoy the tale of Nkemathu.

Nkemathu

"Faster, love or we'll miss the first calm of the tides."

"I don't see why we have to do this."

"Because we need to."

"I used to not believe in the gods—since you taught me about them, I trust them even less."

"I know... but, please... can you do this for me?" The woman asked, pausing to look into her lover's eyes—her eyes widening like two beautiful black holes that glistened in the night sky.

"Meyika! Uu kan kaluntha umbra niyi nte (Shit! There you go with your womanly charms)," said the man, completely swooned.

"Haa, Uu kela rothi hi n'umbra, mei pubei Nkemathu (You're the one who decided to fall for this woman, my dear Nkemathu)," said the woman, covering her lips with her palms to keep her sudden chuckle from bursting into laughter.

"Well, I'm definitely charmed, Wait, are you sure you're not a goddess yourself?" asked the man, mischief coating his face.

"Pfft! A goddess needing help from another? Really? At least not the last time I checked. But, I'm your goddess," she said, pausing to look at him with those charming eyes again.

"Meyika! You're more than just a mere goddess to me," he said.

"Aww, language though, bubba, language."

"Don't blame me for swearing when you keep doing that, woman. Especially not when you know that you look like the Fore God was just trying to show off."

"Hmm, your words could melt and cause mountains to water. Are you trying to get between my legs, my King?" she asked, a wicked smile slowly curving across her face.

"If only we weren't in the forest, maybe. Besides, I'm your husband, leave the formalities to the rest of the kingdom," said the man.

"Oh, I wasn't being formal, not at all. Isn't that what you like me to call you when..." she let her words trail off with a squint of her eyes and a mischievous smile.

"..." The man froze, a mix of confusion and embarrassment spreading across his face.

"Hehe," the woman chuckled, "Besides, I hear there are those who do it in the forest. Yes, that's savage, but aren't you my savage too... kinda?"

"You see?! That's what I'm talking about! You don't just say things like that with a straight face and turn around to keep walking, swaying your hips like a charmer, yet, acting like nothing just happened. I swear, your ability to look innocent yet seductive is your most damning feature. I'm barely holding back from giving the animals a sight here!"

"Pfft...Haaa, hahahahaha," her laughter echoing through the forest before she held her lips to calm herself.

"Seriously though, are you on heat?" asked the man.
