FIERY TEMPTATIONS II
»Unspoken Desire«
Written by: Tale Teller
For how many years I've been a batchelor and the only successor of The Andriotti's. My Dad, Lionel, taught me well in the field of business and helped me succeed to where I am now.
I belong to a well known family, raised with luxurious things. Money has not always been an issue to us. I can have anything, I can even buy the world... But there's always something missing and I don't know what that is.
"Son..." My mom came inside the library office, "Kape ka muna oh, it's already late and you're still up." She said and carefully put the cup of coffe infront of me.
"Thanks Mom," I said with a smile. I took off my glasses and put it away. I took the cup and brought it to my mouth and took a zip. "Hhhmmm..." Closing my eyes as I savor the sweetness, and smelling the aroma that somehow relaxes me from this piled up papers.
"I think you should get married, JR." She directly said. I almost spill the coffee over me, luckily I was able to manage and put it down.
"Mom!" I exclaimed, "you're kidding right?!" I chuckled, trying to diverse this kind of serious conversation.
"No, I'm not." Her voice is low, but I could feel that she's not fooling around. "Hindi ka na bumabata. You're turning thirty-three next month!"
"So?" I laughed, "Mom, I'm still enjoying." Of course am! I don't want to let go of my freedom, not now not ever. Call me an assh*le but I am not like my father, ever loyal and faithful.
"Tsk! We're not getting any younger, soon mamatay din kami, at hindi mo pa kami binibigyan ng apo!" She complained. "Why don't you date Cayenne?!" Her face brightened up.
"Mom..." I shrugged my shoulders. Oh no! Not Cayenne! She's the adopted daughter of that Bambi, the gay friend of my Mom, she kept on telling me that how he helped her and so on and blah blah blah!
"You know I can't date her she's not my type!" Couldn't hide the irritation from my voice. I remeber she even forced me to hire her in our company. My dad didn't even do anything, even she was a a college undegraduated, and now my mother wants me to date her?!
"Sige na anak! Para naman makilala mo siya! I like her, she's a wife material, bagay na bagay siya sa iyo."
"Pfffftt!" I snorted. "Hindi kami bagay okay? I don't even like her, she's loud and a flirt!" Yup! She's a flirt, that's why I don't like her. I can sense when a woman shows interest on me, and I love playing with them, but when it comes to Cayenne, I... I just feel like I don't.
"She's not a flirt!" And now my Mom is defending her. Sino ba talaga ang anak niya ako o si Cayenne? "She's just friendly, don't be mistaken by girls who flirts at you and who wants to be friended you!" Mom scowled.
"Okay...okay!" I raised my both hands in the air, indicating my defeat.
"Okay then! I'll set you guys on a date!" She smiled widely.
"What?!" I almost stood up! "You can't do that!"
"Good night anak! This meeting is adjourned!" She stood from her seat, and walked through the door, "and lastly," she added. "I can do anything and you can not do anything about it because I'm your Mother!"
Oh god! This is not fvcking happening!!!
