the light peeked through the girl's curtains, the rays of sun kissing her skin. her phone vibrates, causing her restful figure to awaken.

she reaches up to her white nightstand, grabbing her phone. reading the contact name she shot up from her laying position, her eyes widened with surprise.

"keji 🤤😫" it read, she hesitated and with a deep breath she pressed answer and put the phone to her ear.

"hello?" she muttered into the speaker, "hey" his deep voice said back. "did i wake you?", the noise his side made it sound like he was shuffling papers, "no, i've been up" she lied through her teeth.

"so what's up?" she questioned, no guy she's ever met calls her the day after they've gotten her number. "just checking in, are you uncomfortable with that?" his tone sincere, "nope" she says popping the p "i appreciate it."

the two went on talking about each other's personal life, each other's jobs, friends, and even family. she spoke about her job as an athlete trainer, working in JVA with a few friends. the girl learned that akaashi was 21 and had a job as an editor.

"did you sleep well?" she asks.

"i slept fine, it probably wasn't the best choice to drink on a Wednesday" he chuckled, immediately when she heard his laugh she could feel the heat rush up to her face.
