In which , Devante reconnects with his first love and muse behind his music and wants to rekindle the relationship they once had but finds it hard dealing with the pressures of fame and new success.
note : puffy will be mentioned lightly throughout the story. only because he was kinda apart of the Jodeci phenomenon. he won't be liked by any means , as Devante once said "Puffy was an intern , Running around being a cheerleader"

𝐃𝐄𝐕𝐀𝐍𝐓𝐄 sat in the back of a Jeep along with Jojo as they were riding with Sean or Puffy as he called himself. After his breakup with Sasha , That Monday he and the guys went to New York with 300 dollars and eager to get their group signed. Although they almost got rejected , They were signed to Uptown later that day. Their debut album was to release just next week and they had already released a single titled "Gotta Love".
"Where are we going again ?" Joel asked Puffy.
"To Franks Firm , I got to get these papers for Al for Andre." Puffy spoke as Devante just listened to the Prince record on his Walkman.
"So why we got to come ?" Joel asked him.
"Because I ain't feel like going by myself."
"But ain't you an intern ? Ain't that ya job to do the shit ?" Devante spoke as Puffy looked over at him with irritation in his face as Joel tried not to laugh.
"Whatever man , Come on." Puffy spoke as the three stepped out of the Jeep.
Soon the men entered the building and got onto the elevator. Once they reached the third floor and entered Franks Firm , Devante couldn't help but look around in awe. It was an all black firm and it was something that made him feel great about seeing all black men and women in a high position.
"Hi , My name is Sean. I'm here for Joseph Mitchell on behalf of Uptown." He spoke as the receptionist nodded.
Devante kind of zoned out before they all found themselves in Joseph's office. Joseph was a lawyer for Al.B. Sure and was quite young with him only being twenty five.
"Y'all want anything to drink ?" Joseph asked as Joel nodded while Devante shook his head. "Man I heard y'all single , It was tight !" Joseph spoke as Devante nodded in appreciation.
"Thanks." Devante spoke.
"Where the Mrs at ?" Puffy asked Joseph.
"She stepped out to go grab our food not too long ago." Joseph spoke.
"You married and work for a firm ? Damn." Joel said as Joseph smirked.
"Well I'm not married yet , I am engaged though." Joseph said with a small shrug.
