Chapter 31 :The Enchanted River
Abigail and her friends follow the map to the Enchanted River, a shimmering waterway that is said to lead to the Oracle of Veritas, who can answer any question and provide guidance on their quest.
The river is guarded by water sprites who challenge them to a contest of skill and wit. Abigail impresses the sprites with her cleverness and magical prowess, earning their respect and passage along the river.
As they journey, the river reveals visions of the past and future. Abigail sees glimpses of her mother’s life, her own destiny, and the looming threat of Malachai. These visions strengthen her resolve and hint at the challenges to come .
Chapter 32: The Oracle’s Prophecy
At the river’s end, they arrive at the Oracle of Veritas, a mystical being who resides in a hidden grotto. The Oracle, a wise and ancient creature, agrees to answer three questions.
Abigail asks about her mother, her destiny, and the means to defeat Malachai. The Oracle reveals that her mother is still alive, held captive in a distant fortress. Abigail’s destiny is to unite the kingdoms and bring peace to the land. To defeat Malachai, she must harness the combined power of the magical artifacts.
The Oracle warns of a traitor among their allies and a great sacrifice that will be required. Abigail feels a mix of hope and foreboding as they leave the Oracle’s grotto
