The safe house was now a place of tense silence. Dominic Jacobs, subdued but defiant, was being held in a dimly lit room. Stella Carter, just freed from her confinement, was still processing the harrowing experience. Dominic's operatives had been subdued, but the battle wasn't over yet. Before he was taken away, Dominic had one last revelation to make—one that would shed light on his deep-seated hatred for Alex and Shawn.

Dominic sat against the wall of the dimly lit room, his hands cuffed behind his back. His expression was a complex mix of anger and satisfaction. Stella, still bound but free from the cell, was seated across from him. She had been freed but was trying to reconcile the chaos of the rescue with the gravity of their situation.

Stella's face was pale but determined as she looked at Dominic. "Why did you do all this? Why did you target Alex and Shawn?"

Dominic smirked, his eyes flashing with a dangerous gleam. "You really want to know, Stella? It's quite a story, filled with betrayal and deception."

Stella, her voice steady despite the fear still gripping her, nodded. "I want to understand why you put everyone through this nightmare."

Dominic leaned back against the wall, his voice laced with a twisted satisfaction. "Very well. You're entitled to know the reasons behind the chaos. It all starts with a broken trust and a vendetta that has festered for years."

Stella's eyes narrowed. "Start from the beginning. What's the connection between you, Alex, and Shawn?"

Dominic began his story, each word dripping with bitterness and resentment. "It all began years ago. Alex Carter and Shawn Jacobs were once my business partners. We were a formidable trio, controlling a significant share of the industry. But as with all partnerships, cracks began to appear."

Stella, trying to piece together the fragmented narrative, asked, "What happened?"

Dominic's face twisted with anger as he recalled the past. "Alex and Shawn began to make moves behind my back. They started undercutting my shares, sabotaging my deals. They were greedy and ruthless, driven by their own ambitions."

Stella's eyebrows knitted together. "What do you mean, exactly? What did they do?"

Dominic's eyes narrowed. "They orchestrated a hostile takeover. They manipulated stock prices, spread false rumors, and used their influence to push me out of the company. It was a calculated and ruthless move to gain control."

Stella, still processing, asked, "And how did that affect you personally?"

Dominic's voice was cold. "It ruined me. I lost everything—my company, my reputation, and my wealth. They made me a pariah in the industry. I was left with nothing, forced to rebuild from the ground up."

Stella's voice was filled with concern. "But why did you involve yourself in such dangerous schemes? Why did you target them so personally?"

Dominic's gaze was intense as he continued. "It wasn't just about business. It was personal. After they betrayed me, I discovered that they had been plotting against me for years. They had alliances with competitors, and they used every trick in the book to destroy me."

Stella leaned forward, her curiosity piqued. "Did you have any idea why they did this? Was there a specific reason?"

Dominic's voice lowered, filled with venom. "It was all about power and control. They wanted to eliminate any threat to their dominance. They saw me as a rival, someone who could challenge their supremacy. And once they had me out of the way, they thought they had secured their position."

Stella, trying to grasp the gravity of the situation, asked, "And what happened to you afterward? How did you end up in this position?"

Dominic's face was etched with anger. "I went underground, working in the shadows. I rebuilt my empire through covert operations and clandestine deals. And all the while, I plotted my revenge. I wanted to make them pay for what they did to me."

Stella's voice was strained as she tried to understand the depths of Dominic's plans. "So, you targeted Alex and Shawn through your operations. How did you involve me and my friends in this?"

Dominic's smirk grew. "You see, it wasn't just about revenge. It was about making them suffer. I knew they valued their reputations and their loved ones. So, I used you and your friends as pawns. I wanted to create chaos in their lives, to make them feel the same way I did."

Stella's eyes flashed with anger. "You used me as leverage to get to them? That's despicable."

Dominic's gaze was cold and unrepentant. "Despicable, perhaps. But effective. I needed them to feel the weight of their actions, to understand the pain they caused me."

Stella, her voice trembling with emotion, asked, "And what about Shawn? Why did you involve him specifically?"

Dominic's face darkened. "Shawn was the mastermind behind the betrayal. He was the one who orchestrated the takeover and pushed me out. Alex might have been the face of the operation, but Shawn was the one who pulled the strings."

Stella's eyes widened. "But Shawn is trying to make amends now. He's been working with us to stop you."

Dominic's tone was dismissive. "It's too little, too late. His apologies mean nothing to me. The damage has been done, and the scars will remain."
