The Diamonds and Steven were having a little get-together.
While they were celebrating, Steven couldn't help but feel like something was amiss on earth.
"Guys, I feel like something's wrong back home." Steven said with a confused look.
"Oh, you must leave so soon?" White said with a pout on her face.
"I wish you could stay longer, Steven." Blue said with a saddened look etched across her face.
Steven looked a bit disappointed at having to leave from the get-together he set up.
"I know, I know. I'll be back though, I promise." He said trying to make it up to them.
Yellow, with a mock offense even though she is disappointed Steven has to leave too, says, "We'll see if that happens."
Steven then waves goodbye to everyone before stepping onto the warp pad and teleporting back to Earth.
As soon as he steps foot onto the Temple floor, it's freezing. On any other day, this would mean Ruby and Sapphire unfused and Sapphire isn't feeling well, but Garnet was still fused as she stood there with a battle-ready and suspicious look on her face.
"Steven, shh... Get down..." Garnet said she summons her gauntlets.
"Is there a reason why?" Steven said unaware of the diamond behind him.
Amethyst, quickly reacts and pushes Steven out of the way as Black Diamond leaps at Steven.
"Woah! Amethyst what's going on?!" Steven said trying to recover from being pounced on.
Pearl, with worry etched across her face, says,
"Steven, it's not safe here right now. There is a gem loose in the temple."
Steven now has a look of confusion on his face.
"What do you mean? I thought we healed all the corrupt gems."
Garnet quickly reacts and grabs Black Diamond by the neck and slams them down on the floor.
"Who are you..." Garnet says with caution.
Black Diamond sits there, not saying anything planning a surprise attack.
Garnet, unbeknownst of the attack, sits there waiting for an answer.
Just then, "THWIP!"
The black ribbons wrapped around Garnet and pulled her off of Black Diamond, throwing her back.
Black Diamond gets up off the floor and brushes himself off.
"What are you...?", Garnet says shakily as she gets off the ground.
"... That's none of your busine-" Black Diamond begins to say.
Pearl had shoved her Spear into his back, poofing him.
And there it is... Black Diamond's gem on the wooden floor.

Steven looks surprised.
Amethyst looks weirded out.
Garnet looks cautious.
Pearl looks shocked.
"W-What... A diamond...?" Pearl says as she shakily picks up the gem.
"But how...?" Amethyst says.
Garnet, out of frustration says, "It won't let me see with my future vision."
"Well, we have to bubble him, we can't have him roaming aro-" Steven is cut off by Black Diamond reforming.
"W-Woah..." Black Diamond says as he stares at Pearl.
"G-Gwah!!" Pearl exclaims as she backs away, dropping her weapon.
"Don't ever touch me again..." Black Diamond says, pointing a finger at her.
"Okay, I won't! But you still need to explain why you came here." Pearl says, still a bit scared.
"Him... You're Pink Diamond. Right?" Black Diamond says as he turns towards Steven.
"Yes, how did you know that?" Steven says as he looks a bit weirded out.
"I'm a Diamond too... Forgotten..." Black Diamond says as he summons his scythe.

"I thought there were only 4 Diamonds..." Steven said as he looked at the scythe.
"They left me for dead... Because I was male and a Black Diamond..." Black Diamond says as he looks at Steven.
Steven looks like he's contemplating something before asking,
"But during the gem war, No Diamond was left behind... Right...?"
