"Oh no...oh no...." A woman in a white lab coat paced across the floor.

"Is everything okay?" My mom asked, her ginger curls bouncing up and down.

"It's...Raven..." She said quietly. My mom's face fell.

"What did you do?" My mom asked flatly. The woman's eyes filled with tears.

"We...we messed up." She whimpered. My mom slapped her across the face.

"YOU PROMISED!" She shouted, tears falling from her cheek.

"I know! I just thought-" She cried, but stopped. A man in a white lab coat fell, his face as white as paper.

"Devon!" The woman screamed, falling to the ground.

"What happened?" My mom asked, her breathing heavy.

"It's Raven! She's a monster!"

"She's a monster!"

"She's a monster!"

"She's a monster!"

I screamed as I woke up, looking around my room. The concrete walls were bland and cold. I stood up and used the bathroom, making sure no one was awake. I sighed and rubbed my face. I've had this dream since I was five years old. It felt so real, so true. Well, I guess it was true. I guess I am a monster. The words from my lips are deadly. And all because of a stupid science experiment. Because of a science experiment I didn't have a life anymore. I was locked in jail.

"Ladies! Breakfast!" A guard called. The rest of the girls woke up to find me, sitting down beside the door. I got up and walked to the cafeteria where I was served. Supposedly it was biscuits and gravy. It looked like a pool of vomit and a piece of drywall. I took a bite, shoving it down my throat with water. The food here was absolutely disgusting. A man with blonde curls sat across from me, a witty smirk spreading across his face.

"Hello, Raven." He said, slowly.

"What do you want Jordan?" I said, shoving more "food" down my throat.

"You." He said. I looked at him and smiled venomously.

"I'm sure you really don't want me to wipe that pretty little smirk off your face, do you?" I said, toying with my plastic knife.

"And I'm sure you don't want another fifty years in jail, do you Raven?" He retorted, his smile turning into a scowl.

"Stop saying that!" I shouted at him. A few people looked at us, then turned away.

"Saying what?" He teased, his smirk coming back.

"Raven." I said, smiling at him. Jordan looked shocked. His face turned pale, and he dropped dead on the table. I got up and walked to my room, ignoring the screams of horror. My name suits me. I have jet black hair and ghostly white skin from malnutrition. The only color on my body is the orange jumpsuit I wear.

"Raven! Solitary confinement!" A guard shouted at me. This was my time.

"Raven." I whispered, and the guard dropped dead. I broke into a sprint down to the door.

"Hey! Get back in your cell!" Two guards were blocking the door from me.

"Raven!" I called, running out the door. The two guards fell to the ground. I smirked and jumped into a cop car, turning on the engine. I sped down the road as cop cars multiplied behind me. I didn't see the stop light and crashed into a red car. I tasted blood as the airbag exploded, knocking me out.
