Lan Zhan arrived in Germany just in time. The moment he touched down, he received a call from Xue Yang with urgent news—Wei Ying was in labor and had been taken to the hospital. Without wasting a second, Lan Zhan rushed to be by her side, his heart pounding with a mixture of fear, excitement, and relief.

When Lan Zhan entered the hospital room, his eyes met Wei Ying’s. Her face, flushed with the exertion of labor, lit up with a combination of surprise and overwhelming emotion. Tears welled up in her eyes as she saw him standing there, and she couldn’t hold them back. The flood of relief, love, and gratitude that washed over her was palpable.

"Lan Zhan,” she whispered, her voice trembling as the tears fell freely. She couldn’t believe he was there, right when she needed him the most.

Lan Zhan rushed to her side, pulling her into a tight embrace, and kissed her passionately, pouring every ounce of love and apology into that kiss. “I’m here,” he murmured against her lips, his own eyes glistening with unshed tears. “I’m here, and I’m not leaving.”

As the medical team prepared to take Wei Ying to the delivery room, Lan Zhan held her hand tightly, refusing to let go. He stayed by her side through every contraction, every moment of pain, offering her words of encouragement and comfort. When their daughter finally came into the world, her first cry echoing through the room, Lan Zhan felt a rush of emotion so powerful it took his breath away.

He looked down at their newborn daughter, her tiny fingers curling around his, and tears slipped down his cheeks. He turned to Wei Ying, his heart swelling with love and gratitude. Leaning down, he kissed her softly on the lips, whispering, “Thank you, Wei Ying. Thank you for bringing our daughter into this world safely.”

Celine smiled up at him, her eyes full of love. In that moment, all the pain and uncertainty of the past months faded away, replaced by the overwhelming joy of the present. They were a family now, and despite everything they had gone through, they had found their way back to each other.

As Lan Zhan held his daughter for the first time, he knew that nothing would ever come between them again. They had a future to build together, and it was a future filled with love, hope, and the promise of new beginnings.

After Wei Ying gave birth, she stayed in the hospital for another three days to recover and bond with their newborn daughter. During this time, Lan Zhan was by her side constantly, taking care of both Wei Ying and their baby with tenderness and dedication. He was attentive to her every need, holding their daughter with awe and love, and making sure Wei Ying had everything she needed.

On the morning of the second day, as Wei Ying woke up, she found Lan Zhan sitting beside her, holding their sleeping daughter in his arms. His eyes were filled with a mix of guilt, love, and longing. He reached out and gently took Wei Ying's hand, his voice soft and earnest as he spoke.

“Wei Ying, I’m so sorry for everything—for not being there when you needed me, for the pain I caused you. I was a fool, and I hate that I hurt you. But I love you, Wei Ying. I’ve always loved you. Please…please forgive me and take me back. I want to be with you, to be the father our daughter deserves, and the partner you deserve.”

Tears welled up in Wei Ying’s eyes as she listened to Lan Zhan’s heartfelt plea. She could see the sincerity in his eyes, and despite everything they had been through, her love for him had never faded. It had only deepened, even when it hurt. She nodded slowly, her voice thick with emotion as she replied, “I forgive you, Lan Zhan. I still love you so much, and it hurts…but I want us to be a family. I want to be with you.”

Relief and joy washed over Lan Zhan as he leaned in to kiss her, a tender, lingering kiss that sealed their reconciliation. From that moment on, Lan Zhan was determined to make things right. When Wei Ying was discharged from the hospital, Lan Zhan took them to an apartment he had rented for their little family to stay in Germany. He wanted to provide a space where they could start fresh, without causing any more trouble for Xue Yang, who had already done so much for them.

A week after Wei Ying gave birth, Lan Zhan planned a special evening. After putting their daughter to sleep, he led Wei Ying to a cozy living room lit with soft, warm lights. There, he got down on one knee, holding out a ring that sparkled in the light. His voice trembled slightly with emotion as he looked up at her.

“Wei Ying, I want to spend the rest of my life with you. I want to be there for you and our daughter, to love and protect you both. Will you marry me?”

Wei Ying’s heart swelled with love and happiness as tears filled her eyes. She didn’t hesitate. “Yes, Lan Zhan. I’ll marry you,” she said, her voice choked with emotion.

Lan Zhan slipped the ring onto her finger, then stood and pulled her into his arms, kissing her deeply. In that moment, surrounded by the warmth of their love and the promise of a new beginning, they knew they were ready to face whatever the future held together. They had overcome so much to be together, and now they had a lifetime to build the family they had always dreamed of.

The weeks following Lan Zhan’s heartfelt proposal were filled with a whirlwind of activity. Between caring for their newborn daughter and preparing for their wedding, Wei Ying and Lan Zhan were constantly busy, but it was a joyous kind of busy. Every moment spent together, whether they were changing diapers, finalizing guest lists, or stealing quiet moments alone, was filled with love and excitement for the future they were building.

Wei Ying’s heart was full as she watched Lan Zhan embrace fatherhood with such tenderness. He was a devoted partner, always attentive to her needs, and a loving father who cherished every second with their daughter. As they prepared for the wedding, their bond grew even stronger, fortified by the challenges they had overcome and the deep love they shared.

A month later, on a beautiful sunny day, Wei Ying and Lan Zhan stood at the altar, surrounded by their closest friends and family. The ceremony was intimate and heartfelt, with every detail reflecting the journey they had taken to get to this moment. Xue Yang, who had played such a crucial role in bringing them back together, stood by Lan Zhan’s side as his best man. His support and kindness were evident as he smiled warmly at the couple, genuinely happy for them.

Qin Su, too, had come to the wedding. After everything that had happened, she had taken time to reflect and heal. Approaching Wei Ying before the ceremony, Qin Su offered a sincere apology, her eyes filled with remorse and understanding.

“I’m so sorry, A-ying,” Qin Su said softly. “For everything. I let my own fears and insecurities get the best of me, and I hurt you in the process. I’m truly sorry.”

Wei Ying, always gracious and kind, accepted Qin Su’s apology with a warm hug. “Thank you, A-Su. I know it wasn’t easy for any of us. I’m just glad we can all move forward.”

The wedding was a beautiful celebration of love and forgiveness, a testament to the resilience of the human heart. As Wei Ying and Lan Zhan exchanged their vows, promising to love and cherish each other for the rest of their lives, there wasn’t a dry eye in the room. Their journey had been long and complicated, but it had led them to this perfect moment, surrounded by the people who mattered most to them.

After the ceremony, they danced under the stars, their daughter held close as they swayed to the music. It was a night filled with laughter, love, and the promise of a bright future. With Xue Yang as their supportive friend and Qin Su having made peace, their circle of friends felt whole again.

Wei Ying and Lan Zhan’s wedding marked the beginning of a new chapter in their lives—a chapter filled with hope, happiness, and the deep, abiding love they had always shared.
