LIA 1: espy n case

I was about to go inside the study space near our university when a group of guys bumped to me. Knowing my poker-facial nature when it turns to people simply annoys me pero agad nawala 'yon nang makitang ang nakabunggo sa akin ang grupo ni Syrus. Inismiran niya lang ako at tsaka binunggo ang braso ko na kunwari ay hangin. Sinundan ko siya ng masamang tingin pero nakatalikod ito kaya balewala lang rin, hindi naman ako nagpunta rito para gumawa ng scene kaya pumasok na lang ako sa loob ng cafe na parang walang nangyari. I saw them sitting in the middle where his large circle and a bit of their noise could cover the whole place, so irritating to even glance at his shadow. 

Naupo ako sa pinasulok sa dulo kung saan pader at glass window ang katabi ko, it's a bar-counter-like seat, although the seat was comfortable, at the same time, it's not because if I look from my back, I'll definitely saw them. Lilipat na sana ako ng cafe nang malaman kong tumutunog ang laptop ko na kakababa ko lang at automatic na naka-connect na sa wifi dahil madalas ako rito kaya wala na ring bago, as for the ringing, it was coming from my skype app and the name pop up that stops me from getting up. 

The one calling me through skype was him. When I finally saw him personally even in virtual meeting! I don't know but this makes e feel light. 

I press the green button and tucked an earbuds, he's doing a video call, lying on his bed with his head on the headboard. He's using a phone for video call, but this time, he looks carefree by the way he postures, something light. 

"Hey, man! It's been ages to answer my call, huh?" teased and snapped Josiah. 

I snicker. "Nah, as you can see, I'm at our usual studying spot but you calling out of the blue is enough to startle the hell out of me and this is unexpected, bro! Kamusta ka na d'yan?" dire-diretso kong sagot. 

Something at the back of my mind telling me to be careful while talking to him now, siguro kasi nasa likod ko lang ang panira ng araw? 

I shrug it off and continue talking like old times with Josiah. Nalaman ko naman rin ng araw na 'yon na tapos na ang midterm nila and waiting na lang sa scores na ma-distribute, habang kami ay papunta pa lang sa hell week. Gusto ko sanang tanungin kung bakit ngayon lang siya naka-tawag for a month without news from him at his ward pero mukhang pangingialam na sa personal issue niya iyon, one of his pet peeve, though. 

Kahit pa sabihin kong three years na kaming magkakakilala, hindi pa nila ako nakitang magtanong tungkol sa personal of even family issues nila kahit si Sy- that bastard know we are far from the likelihood of an average friendship. However, that does not define who am I now, well, I do need to change, after all, people always change once mistakes from their past stains until now. 

Natapos ang kalahating oras na kwentuhan namin nang may pumasok na nurse, nag-greet ito sa akin at pina-alam si Jos na sa check-up niya na timing naman na ngayon ang ganap. He then bid goodbye but messaged me after that. 

"Bro, I'm free tonight, mom asks you to come for dinner here, come and bring ysa and friends, para naman makapag-usap tayo nang walang istorbo like earlier. Also I need to talk to you in private." - Jos.  

Hindi naalis ang mata ko sa last message niya, he 'need' to talk to me in private pero kasama ang ilang kaklase ko? How private is that? Sounds interesting, huh. 

Nagsimula na akong mag-aral, hindi ko inintindi ang ingay ng bulungan sa middle place ng cafe kung saan sila naroon. Bakit ba kahit saan na lang simula no'ng nagsimula ang klase as freshmen, lagi ko siya- sila nakikita? I furrowed my eyebrows and constantly looking back at them whenever the whispers ang getting loud. Sure kasi akong binayaran na naman ni Syrus ang staff dito including their noises to allow only to them para magawa ang gusto nila, seem that way, judging by they throw gazes at me.
