𝗢𝘂𝗿 𝗞𝗶𝘁𝘁𝘆 | Eleven

"Dad? Dad!! Dad I'm sorry, don't leave me here again! Please, I'm sorry!!"

Pitch black darkness consumed Taehyun's entire vision like an endless void. He stood in the darkness, a white spotlight moving with him as if he was on a stage, but no audience could be seen anywhere.

He ran back and forth, tears pooling in his beautiful brown eyes, now glazed with fear and terror. His footsteps echoed in his own ears, the sound of the creaky floor haunting him, resulting in him freezing in place.

Freezing in place? Oh. Oh. Oh no no no.

"Shut up you dirty weakling."

Horror seeped into Taehyun's veins, his heart-rate accelerating.

"I'm dreaming." he realised with a drop of heart.

Taehyun tried to open his eyes, but he couldn't. Black slimy vines creeped all over his body and face, forbidding him from his desired freedom.

Panic settled into his mind, and he started yelling, yet no sound came out.

"Wake me up! Please!!"

His voice was muffled, as he was being drowned once again by none other than the black shadow demon which always came to visit him in his sleep-paralysis. He couldn't breathe. He desperately wanted to wake up, thrashing his lithe body around, his limbs sore and throat burning from the yelling, yet no one could hear him.

"Please...please.."

He begged into the void, desperately wishing to wake up. He couldn't take it anymore.

"Please..please..ple-"

.....

"Kitty? Kitty hey? Kitty wake up baby!"

Taehyun jolted awake, his eyes shooting open to be met with the dimly-lit room and two faces in front of his face, but he was too dazed to notice anything.

His heartbeat was fast, cold sweat breaking through his body. He felt like throwing up again, silent tears unknowingly falling down his eyes.

He blinked his eyes with fear, afraid he'll be back in that endless void suffering with the monster, his hands trembling slightly, until something warm and big wrapped around his fingertips and palm.

He quickly realised it was another hand, and it made him snap back to reality.

Kai. It was the older Alpha's hand. His warm, soft hand. He was awake. He wasn't dreaming anymore.

"Are you okay Kitty?" Beomgyu asked from beside him, his eyebrows furrowed in concern, as he beckoned Taehyun to lay back down on the bed, and Taehyun let him guide him down, laying pliant in the older Alpha's hold.

And that's when he realised he had been sobbing the entire time.

"Kitty..? Had a nightmare sweet one?" Kai asked, his voice soft and slow, like a serene Lullaby making him sleepy in the stillness of the cold December night, the older's sweet saccharine voice flowing through his ears like a soft breeze, tingling his brain at the right places.

Taehyun silently nodded yes as an answer.

"It's okay now Kitty, you're safe." Beomgyu said in a hushed whisper, rubbing the Cat Hybrid's ears, trying to soothe him, and it seemed to work. The older beta's delicate fingers ran through the Omega's soft black locks, keeping him distracted from his previous nightmare thoughts.

With the help of Kai's gentle touch and pheromones, along with Beomgyu's head scratches; Taehyun's rapid breathing had come to normal, and Taehyun's pretty dark brown pupils weren't darting left and right anymore; focused solely on Beomgyu's warm chocolate brown ones, breathing softly.

"Thank you. Thank you, both of you." Taehyun so desperately wanted them to know how grateful he was right now, but he knew he couldn't. He hates his inability to speak at times like this.

"Feeling okay now?" Beomgyu questioned, still running his fingers delicately through the younger's soft black locks.

Taehyun nodded as a response again, letting the comfort from Beomgyu's fingertips seep into his scalp and mind, his body relatively calming down and coming out of its fight and flight state, which made the older two sigh in relief.

"What time is it Hyukie?" Beomgyu asked Kai, who picked up his phone from the nightstand, the bright screen hurting his eyes for a slight second.

"It's just 3am right now, let's go back to sleep." Kai answered, plopping back down on the bed, making himself comfortable beside the smaller, going back to their cuddling position.

"Are you okay enough to go back to sleep baby?" Beomgyu asked, petting the smaller's head still.

Taehyun looked back at Beomgyu, thinking of it. Was he actually okay? Would he be able to go back to sleep as if nothing happened? Because, whenever he had a nightmare, it'd haunt him the whole night, making him too afraid to fall asleep.

But right now, his eyes were feeling heavy. His eyelids were drooping with sleep, begging to be closed, Taehyun's body too tired to be controlled by fear and stay awake.

Taehyun thought maybe it's because his brain is too tired to think, that's why he's not getting constant reminders of his nightmare in front of his eyelids. But was it that?

Or was it because the warmth of the two olders around him felt like a safe blanket, blocking anything potential to hurt him.

Or the sweet smell of Kai's Chocolate scent mixing with Taehyun's own Vanilla one, along with hints of Lavender from the Beta, the subtle notes of Cinnamon from Kai's undertones adding a spicy touch to the sweet scents flooding his sensitive nose, feeling like a sedative making him feel sleepy and light-headed.

Taehyun couldn't figure it out, and for once; he had no desire to.

All he wanted to do was bury his nose in the crook of the Beta's neck, inhaling his sweet Lavender and honey pheromones, and fall asleep like a baby.

And that's exactly what he did. His body itself, as he snuggled upto the older Beta, burying his face into his neck, breathing in his calming scent, sighing a little.

"Mhm." He hummed, finally responding to Beomgyu's question, and it was easy to understand what Taehyun meant this time.

"Okay. Goodnight once again Kitty." Kai whispered, throwing his arm over Taehyun's body and reaching out to Beomgyu, so he could hold his Lover's hand, seeking his touch even when sleepy.

Beomgyu felt his heart squeeze with affection for the Alpha, letting his mate hold his hand even though it was a little uncomfortable with Taehyun squished between them, but anything for his angel baby.

"Goodnight Kitty, Goodnight Hyukie baby." Beomgyu whispered as well, getting comfortable in the warmth of their bed, letting his eyes shut, blocking out the thoughts and curiosity of why the Cat-hybrid had woken up so distressed and why his condition was so alarming.

He would think about it when the sun rises. For now, he'll enjoy the chilly night cuddle with his lover and the small boy he was growing fond of in no time.
