                               Solias

I shut the door gently, careful not to make any sound, as I step away from her door. After she put her head on my shoulder, she dozed off. I laid her in her bed and tucked her in so she could get some rest.

Now I'm standing outside her room like a fool.

"Thank you, Solias." It rings through my head like a soft melody, playing over and over. The sound of my name coming from her lips is sweeter than any candy. Softer than any hug. I am a fool. A fool to fall for this. A fool to think I could stop myself.

I turn around and see Ryn looking at me smirking with a knowing look in their eyes. "Aw did the mighty malicious prince fall in love with his muse."

I scowl down at them, "that's ridiculous. I don't feel such things."

Ryn put their hands on their hips, "So if I went in there and zapped her into a cloud of dust. Nothing but ash. You wouldn't do anything? Because obviously you don't care for her right?"

I search for the right words to say while staring at Ryn, they give me a sly smirk in return. "Yup. Knew it. Just admit it princey. That in there, is your wife."

I scoff at them, "I don't know where you grew the balls today ryn but I'm telling you now to knock it off." I brush past them and start walking down the corridor.

They stay in place, "Don't be mad at me for being honest! You know you love me."  I hear them chuckle before walking in the opposite direction.

They're right I Do. Ryn is one of the very few people I allow to talk to me like that. They've guided me through thick and thin. That and Ryn is one of the most powerful mages so I'd be a fool to try and punish them.

RYN:

I practically skip down to the servants quarters where I see Fae and Farrah munching on the strawberry puffs that were meant for tonight's dinner.

"Now you both are just begging for trouble." I see a puff drop to the floor and they look like deer staring into lantern lights.

They snap out of it and immediately give me annoyed glares, "we were really enjoying our evening until you did that. Now there is a perfectly good pastry on the floor."

I laugh and sit down in the chair infront of them. "Oh ladies, do I have news for you. Operation Snakes in the garden is a go." I cross my arms infront of me.

Fae grimaces a little, "is that really the name we decided on?"

"I don't think it is no." Farrah chimes in

I roll my eyes and prop my feet up on the table leaning back in my chair,
"Fine, Operation new code name, is a go. Gimme what you got."

"How about Rose Bush?" Something simple and related to Sorelia, Fae says

I shrug my shoulders, "works for me. Mine was funnier but we'll go with it."

Farrah looks at me confused, "how was yours funny?"

"Cause ya know, snakes in the garden. He's the snake she's got the garden...Anyways that's not the point Rose bush it is."

"Everyday I wonder what goes on inside that head of yours, and then I ask questions, and you tell me, and I immediately regret it." Farrah says with a grimace

"I don't know what that means but rude. Very rude. Not the point, Sorelia fell asleep on his majesty's shoulder and he then laid her to bed when she fell asleep." I say excitedly

Fae and Farrah nearly fly towards the table and sit down infront of me.

"And how did they end up like that?" Farrah asks

"His majesty asked a few questions about her family and life at her kingdom and it got emotional and he told her very passionately that he'd protect her and her loved ones."

Fae squeals and Farrah looks in awe. "This is perfect! This means they can make this work and the prince won't be so grumpy anymore." Fae says excitingly

I chuckle at her words. Farrah looks at me in confusion for a minute, "how did you hear all of this though?"

"Oh sweet Farrah. I'm a mage. Invisibility is one of the very many gifts I possess." I smirk at her.

Fae laughs, Farrah looks concerned but I'm not sure why. "Now we really have eyes and ears for Operation Rose bush."
Fae says with a mischievous smirk.

"Speaking of which, the prince is looking for me. I'll see you girls later." I hurriedly stand up and wave to the girls before darting upstairs.

I wish I could teleport. All these gifts and i still have to climb long winning stone stairs. Ridiculous.

I'm out of breath by the time I hit the Prince's room. I immediately walk in not bothering to knock. I see him buried in some sort of book I've never seen him with before.

He hears my approach and immediately closes the book and throws it towards his bed. Looking embarrassed.

"Sir. We all have interests. If you want to read a romance novel there's no need to be embarrassed." I say with a smirk

He looks at me confused before his face goes red again, "I was not reading a romance novel Ryn. It's...a fantasy of sorts." He clears his throat before walking around and leaning against the corner of his desk.

"Anyway, I called for you because I need you to send a letter." He motions for me to grab a pen and paper.

I grab the objects off his desk before sitting in the chair infront of it, giving him a nod.

He looks at the ground pondering his words before nodding and looking back to me, " To the family and friends of her majesty Ms. Sorelia Delphine, I humbly invite you to my kingdom to stay until the wedding commences. She is missing you all dearly and I can't help but notice that. She is unharmed, and thriving. Even created a small garden here. Clear your worries, for I have her best intentions in mind. From, The Prince Of Arcadia."  He looks at me waiting for me to finish writing before I look back up and nod at him.

I use his seal on the envelope and wave my hand, watching the letter warp away.  "Their kingdoms mage should receive that and deliver it within an hour your majesty."

He let's out a sigh and drops his head staring at the floor once again. "I hate feeling like I'm keeping her prisoner. All because of my fathers vendetta. If this is the slight bit of peace I can offer her and her family I want to give it."

I've never seen him act so soft. Or aware of others. "I understand Solias. You're doing right by her by doing this. Before you know it I bet you'll hear horses and carriages zooming past our gates.

"I hope this doesn't come with a war. Knowing my father." He looks at me, fear in his eyes.
