-- The village of Hakune --

A peaceful place, where the hum of cicadas and the soft rustling of leaves were the loudest sounds to break the night's silence. The full moon bathed the village in a pale, serene glow, casting long shadows across the thatched rooftops. But beneath this tranquil veneer, something sinister stirred in the darkness.

A teen boy named with a gentle spirit, lay peacefully in his bed on the upper floor of his family's modest home. He was lost in the world of dreams, unaware that this night would be unlike any other. Downstairs, his parents slept soundly, unaware that their world was about to be shattered.

A distant rumble echoed through the village, so faint at first that it could have been mistaken for the whisper of wind through the trees. But it wasn't the wind. The ground seemed to tremble slightly, the vibrations growing stronger with each passing second. Doyoung stirred, a frown creasing his brow as he hovered on the edge of wakefulness.

Outside, shadows began to shift and twist unnaturally, as though they had a life of their own. From the depths of the darkness, a figure emerged-tall, imposing, and cloaked in a shroud of night itself. The demon had arrived.

Jeongwoo was no ordinary demon. His powers were vast, an ancient magic that had been honed over centuries. His eyes glowed with an eerie, crimson light, casting a malevolent glare over everything they touched. With a mere flick of his hand, the shadows around him came alive, writhing like serpents, ready to do his bidding.

-- Demon Park Jeongwoo --

Jeongwoo had carried out the Demon King's orders countless times, leaving destruction in his wake wherever he went. But tonight, as he looked down at the peaceful village, something in him hesitated. It was a fleeting thought, easily dismissed, but it lingered just long enough to give him pause. Still, his orders were clear, and he would see them through.

With a wave of his hand, Jeongwoo unleashed his power. The shadows surged forward, spreading through the village like a dark tide. They slipped through windows, crept under doors, and smothered the light wherever they went. The attack began in silence-no warning, no mercy.

Doyoung's parents were among the first to wake. Startled by the unnatural cold that filled their home, they rushed to the door, only to be met by the sight of a shadowy figure-its form twisted and monstrous. Before they could scream, the shadows engulfed them, leaving nothing but silence in their wake.

Upstairs, Doyoung awoke with a start, his heart pounding in his chest. The warmth and comfort of his home had vanished, replaced by an icy chill that seeped into his bones. He sat up, his breath hitching as he realised something was terribly wrong.

The faint scent of smoke reached his nose, mingling with a metallic tang that made his stomach churn. He moved cautiously to the window, peering out through a small crack in the curtains. What he saw made his blood run cold.

The village was in chaos. Fires had erupted in several homes, the flames licking hungrily at the night sky. Dark figures moved among the ruins, their eyes glowing like embers in the darkness. Doyoung's breath caught in his throat as the realization hit him-his village was under attack by demons.

A low, guttural growl echoed up the stairs, sending a shiver down Doyoung's spine. Someone-or something-was in the house. Panic gripped him as he remembered his parents were downstairs. He had to reach them, but fear rooted him in place.

Suddenly, the door to his room creaked open, revealing a figure that seemed to absorb the very light around it. The demon's presence was overwhelming, his eyes glowing with an otherworldly red light. He was a being of pure darkness, his power palpable in the air.

Doyoung's heart hammered in his chest as he backed away, his eyes wide with terror. The demon moved with unnatural grace, crossing the room in an instant. Before Doyoung could react, he was pinned against the wall by a cold, unyielding force. The shadows themselves seemed to hold him in place, coiling around him like living chains.

"Please... don't," Doyoung whispered, his voice trembling with fear and desperation. Tears welled up in his eyes as he looked into the demon's face, searching for any sign of mercy.

Jeongwoo-though his name was still unknown to Doyoung-hesitated. There was something in the boy's eyes, something that stirred a long-buried part of him. It wasn't just fear he saw; it was something deeper, something that made him pause for the first time in centuries.

The demon's grip loosened, and Doyoung slid to the floor, gasping for breath. He looked up at the demon, his heart still racing, but now there was a glimmer of hope among the terror.

"You have no place here anymore," the demon said, his voice a deep, resonant growl that seemed to vibrate through the walls. "But if you wish to live, you will come with me."

Doyoung's mind reeled. The words didn't make sense-why would this demon spare him? Why offer him life when he had taken everything else away? But as he looked into the demon's eyes, he saw a flicker of something-compassion, perhaps, or maybe just curiosity. Whatever it was, it made him nod slowly, his body trembling with fear and confusion.

The demon turned and began to walk away, his dark cloak billowing behind him as the shadows followed in his wake. Doyoung hesitated, glancing back at the staircase that led to where his parents had been. But he couldn't bring himself to go down there. He already knew what he would find.

With a final, shaky breath, Doyoung pushed himself to his feet and followed the demon into the night. He didn't know where he was going or what awaited him, but he knew that this was the only path left to him.

As they disappeared into the darkness, the flames from the village continued to burn, a cruel reminder of the life Doyoung had lost-and the new, terrifying existence that awaited him under the demon's shadow.

To be continued.....
