Bumblebee's POV:
I've always wanted to fly.
I found it ironic how I was named after an earth insect that can fly and be a car. I mean, don't get me wrong. I live to speed down the highway, top speed. But still. I wish I had an alternate form too. Probably a jet or a helicopter like my friend, Blades.
Speaking of which, I was about to visit him. I stood in front of the ground bridge, waiting for Russel. He and Cody had a play date and I decided to tag along so I could visit my friends in Griffin Rock.
"Russel, you ready?" I called out. I could hear the squeals from Blades after I talked. It just made me more excited.
"Yeah!" He exclaimed, wearing a backpack full of model cars. "Let's go, Bee"
I bent down so he could hold my hand as we walked through the ground bridge. We appeared on the other side. Russel immediately ran to Cody and they ran to his room. I was immediately tackled into a tight hug by Blades.
"Hey Bee!" He said with a smile. Oh, how I wish I could see that smile everyday.
"Hey Blades" I chuckled, tightening my side of the hug. He pulled apart and the rest of the team came to greet me too.
Heatwave, Chase, and Boulder greeted me with smiles. None of theirs could match Blades, though. His warm smile, his bright orange eyes, his nervous yet outgoing personality.
Primus, he was perfect.
Sure, maybe I liked him more than a friend but I don't really think I should confess. It might ruin our friendship. So I bury the feeling and act normal.
"Hey guys. How are you all?" I asked to spark a conversation.
"Pretty good. Except rescues are coming more frequently" Heatwave said.
"And you guys are ending up in the medbay a lot. You guys are glad you have a medic as awesome as me!" Blades added, puffing up his chest with pride. I couldn't help but laugh.
"They really are" I say. I put my hand on his shoulder and ,I swear, he faintly blushed. Maybe he does like me! I shouldn't push it though.
"Thank you, Bee. How's your team?" Blades say.
I shrug. "All the same. Deceptions appear, and we fight them. Nothing new."
Boulder nods. "At least, you guys are okay and not running into fires" He said, giving a side eye to Heatwave.
Heatwave puts his hands up in defeat. "Hey, it was only one time."
"Still too risky" I say with a laugh. At that moment, an alarm rang. The four rescue bot looked up at it in unison. Heatwave speaks up.
"A rescue. Sorry Bee.." He says.
"It's fine. Duty comes first" I reply. He nods and says their rallying cry. "Rescue bots, roll to the rescue!" Wonder how long it took him to come up with that... They transformed and their human partners get in them. Blades runs to platform that raises up to the roof for takeoff.
"Bye Bee!" He called out. "Be safe" I say with a tinge of worry on my voice. He grins and gives me a thumbs up as he's raised up towards the roof.
"C'mon Bee!" Cody and Russel called out. "We can watch the rescue in the control room." I nod and follow them to the control room. Turns out, the rescue was a fire. They handled it pretty well. Chase and Chief Burns controlled the crowd while Boulder and Graham evacuated the people inside the building. Heatwave and Kade was putting out the fire. Blades was nowhere to be seen.
Almost instantly, Blades appeared in his helicopter form and dropped water on the building, putting out the small flames. Boulder talked to Blades over the comm link. "Blades, we're almost done evacuating the citizens. Can you prop up the ceiling a bit?"
Blades transformed into his bot form and commented "Nothing to it but to do it! Cmon guys!" He, Heatwave, and Chase held the building together until Boulder and Graham were out. They jumped back, the collapsing building crashing down.
Cody and Russel cheered as I smiled.
When they came back, Blades immediately started hanging out with me. We talked, went on a walk and just caught up on things. We ended the day watching the sun set off the horizon. I look over to Blades. The orange light from the sun reflected on his armor, making him glow.
He looked like an angel. Suddenly, all my thoughts on Blades spilled out.
"Blades, I like you a lot. Like, more than a friend. You probably don't feel the same way but I have to say this. I love everything about you. Your smile, your laugh, your personality. I-" I was cut off by Blades putting a finger to my lips. "I love you too, Bee"
"What?" I asked?
He laughed as he pulled me in for a hug, writing the words on my back with his finger.

He leaned in and caught my lips in his. I tensed up a bit, but slowly calm down and kissed him back. We pulled apart and he smiled.
"Well, we have a lot to tell both of our teams now, don't we?" I said.
Blades laughed. "Yup! We both turned to the sun and watch is set into the sea.
I might not be able to fly, but today, my spark, filled with happiness, flew faster than any jet could.
