Asher had ran the length of the building before spotting an empty alley way in line with the tank. Taking a few deep breaths before turning on his heels and sprinting as quickly as he could back the Glenn.
"Right side of the tank up the street is an open alley way. We can get there from the roofs and get back here to meet up with the other." Asher explained roughly through his breaths.
"That's it? Make a run for it?" The person ok the other end asked in disbelief. Asher scrunched up his brows in through as he processed the voice. It was almost heartbreakingly familiar.
"My way's not a dumb as it sounds. You've got eyes on the outside here. There's one geek still up on the tank but the others have climbed down and joined the feeding frenzy where the horse went down. With me so far?" Glen asked in a bit of a rush.
"So far." Came the answer.
"Okay, the street on the other side of the tank is less crowded. If you move now while they're distracted, you stand a chance. Got ammo?" Glenn asked.
"In that duffel bag I dropped out there, and guns. Can I get to it?" He asked. Asher shook his head and Glenn answered.
"Forget the bag, okay? It's not an option. What do you have on you?" Glenn asked him as he and Asher waited with bated breath for the answer.
"Hang on." The man said before it went silent.
"I got a beretta with one clip, 15 rounds." He told them. Asher reached out for the walkie and Glenn handed it over without any protest.
"Make 'em count. Jump off the right side of the tank, keep going in that direction. There's an alley up the street, maybe 50 yards. Be there. Run like hell." He told him.
"Hey, what's your name?" He asked after a moment of silence, the once stressed voice now sounding hopeful and vulnerable.
"Have you been listening? You're running out of time." Glenn said taking the walkie for Asher and pulling them both into a sprint so that they made it to the alley just as the man did.

Asher had his gun steady on the fire escape near the ladder Glenn had gone down ready to shoot if Glenn was out in harms way. Asher was thrown off when a very familiar man rounded the corner with his gun drawn. Glenn shouting not to shoot before leading him up the ladder. Asher could feel his throat clogging up as he watched his dad climb up the ladder to where he stood. Asher waisted no time yanking his father into a hug as soon as he got up the ladder.
"I knew it was you." Rick mumbled as he held Asher close to him.
"You were, they told me... I'm gonna kill him." Asher huffed out.
"Nice moved there, Clint Eastwood. You the new Sheriff come riding in to clean up the town?" Glenn asked as he observed the moment.
"It wasn't my intention." Rock said as pulled back from Asher enough to look him over.
"Yeah, whatever. Yeehaw. You're still a dumbass." Glenn told him.
"Rick. Thanks." He said as he held out his hand.
"Glenn. You're welcome. So you two know each other?" He greeted.
"He's my dad." Asher told him. Glenn frowned his brows in confusion but kept his questions to himself when Asher sent him a look that screamed shut up. Glenn glanced down to see the walker clumsily trying to make their way up the ladder below them.
"Oh no." Gleen sighed before making his way up the next ladder to the roof and following behind him.
"The bright side: It'll be the fall that kills us. I'm a glass half full kinda guy." Glenn told Rick before he started up.
"Welcome to Atlanta." Asher to him as he followed Glenn.

Once they had made it to the top the three of them started the jog back to the others.
"Are you the on that barricaded the alley?" Rick asked as he noticed the bus stopping the horde.
"Somebody did- I guess when the city got overrun. Whoever did it was thinking not many geeks would get through." Glenn told him.
"Back at the tank, why'd you stick your neck out for me?" Rick asked as they stopped.
"Call it foolish, naive hope that if I'm ever that far up shit creek, somebody might do the same for me. Guess I'm an even bigger dumbass than you." Glenn said as he started to climb down the ladder. Once back down to street level Glenn spoke into the walkie.
"We're back. Got a guest plus four geeks in the alley." Glenn told them as T-Dog and Morales busted out of the door and started beating the walkers.
