Bleach OC 1, "Son of the Sea"

Name; Miuna Zankoku

Name meaning; Miuna means Beautiful Ocean, and Zankoku means Cruel or Brutal. In English naming schemes, it is translated as "Cruel, Beautiful Sea

Age; 280(Same age as Yoruichii and Kisuke, I just guessed 280)

Division; 5th Division(Under Aizen, formerly), 11th Division(Took over for Yumichika once Zaraki asked Yamamoto to transfer him after hearing through rumors of his fight alongside Ichigo and Yumichika transferred up to 3rd seat.)

Appearance; Zankoku is a tall, hardy character, standing at 6'7 and 340 pounds. This incredible growth was due to how powerful his soul was from birth; In its unrefined state, his Reiatsu was able to silently drown people out to the point where they mindlessly agreed with him in hopes the ethereal pressure on them would lessen, which it often did. He has a Xanthos charm to him; Golden, tawny hair with suntanned skin and a Grecian complexion, bearing a low forehead, a straight nose, and large eyes often described as alert and knowing, as deep as the wells of Earth's greatest oceans with the same beauty and underlying danger, complete with frosty, white-capped swirls like waves against a beach. People have frequently spent more time looking at the odd nature of his eyes rather than listening to his words. For a time, he wore a blindfold, until Zaraki Kenpachi cut it off saying, "Show yourself with pride, you should be ashamed that you attempted to hide your most recognizable feature from other Shinigami." Due to that interaction, he has a paper-thin but jagged scar from his right brow to his left cheekbone. His physicality is as significant as Kenpachi's, though it is somewhat more aesthetic, with burlier arms, broader shoulders, and an equally thin waist. This was a painstaking process for him, training every day with a 1-ton sword in various movements to refine his body to where he wouldn't even wince if you cut him off at the waist.

Personality; Zankoku is considered a moody, bad-tempered sort; He is wrathful and vengeful, and will swear grievous wounds over issues often resolved with mere harsh words. On the same coin, he is as bright and sunny as they come, rarely ever initiating an interaction beyond respectful small talk but always allowing one to occur. Much like the ocean, he only becomes dangerous if you wade into waters beyond your skill. In that sense, three people have boats; Kisuke Urahara, Yoruichi Shihoin(his childhood friends), and Ichigo Kurosaki(Became close during their fight with Aizen and ended their bitter rivalry). These three individuals are people he will fight anyone over, and will never tolerate any harsh words about them.

Reiatsu; Inflicts a powerful sense of drowning; sluggish movements, burning lungs/difficulty breathing, intense pressure within the ears, eyes, and nose

Shikai; "I'm left without a choice, and without a doubt..." His right arm coalesces from a scarred nub into a rough mirror of his left, with five visible digits that shift and drip, changing shape constantly. It functions as an infinite source of water in relation to his stamina; The beginning of the fight can bring tidal waves of spiritual energy before swallowing out to a painful drought, before swelling to a tsunami again. When in contact with water, his soul can instantly transfer to any place near it, so long as the stream is uninterrupted. So far, the smallest bottleneck he has managed was 10 millimeters by 10 millimeters, and he came out gasping as if he had nearly drowned.

Bankai; "Ruthlessness is Mercy upon Ourselves". His watery arm coalesces into a perfect reflection of his left, complete with long, scythe-like claws at the tip of each digit. When in his Bankai state, he can maintain a "Tsunami State" where his power surges indefinitely so long as he can focus on remaining in this state. The fallout from ending his Bankai is variable; Sometimes it is fixed with a bowl of Udon and a quiet nap in the shade, and other times people rush him to Unohana thinking he's comatose. There is no telling what effect will occur when he exits his Bankai state, so similar to tapering off of medication, he waits for his power to level out before dropping his Bankai, which causes severe but predictable strain on him. Despite the recommendation against such a tactic by Unohana and many others, he rebuffs with, "Do you have a better idea?" Which is often met with a grave, pensive silence. However, this tactic works only if he can consciously taper it off; there have been fights where he physically cannot hold his Bankai state and drops out of it suddenly, gaining symptoms very similar to decompression sickness.

Zanpakuto; Triaina, known as The Gape-Mawed Queen, is an ornate steel band situated above the stump of Zankoku's right arm. When angry, the veins around it turn a dark black as small barnacles and other such marine life start to sprout from the band, dripping a blackened ooze identified to be the manifestation of how Zankoku had shed blood during his first attempt at Bankai, where his small knife twisted itself into a band and cinched off the blood flow to keep him alive. This unprecedented adaptation of his Zanpakuto has spawned thoughts and regards to his versatility as a Shinigami; As such, he rarely ever has a consistent task, thought of by the Gotei 13 to be a jack of all trades at heart. In truth, his fear of failing in front of those he swore he would become strong to is what warped Triaina into the armband. Since then, Triaina hasn't been the same; she has been just as twisted and crooked as the armband.

Relative characters; Has been in a back-and-forth with Kisuke and Yoruichi since he was young, perpetually swinging between vaguely more powerful and noticeably weaker but not significantly so.

Physical Attributes(Strength, speed, endurance); Both a scalpel and an axe. Incredible brute strength and dexterity, being a rare exemplification of "The best of both worlds"

Soul Attributes(Stamina, durability, poise); Vast, but unfiltered and unrefined; as much a threat to friend as it is to foe. He can fight for effectively limitless time so long as he paces himself, as his power comes in waves; Should he extremely exert himself, his power will be significantly weaker before spiking to almost as much as it was when he exerted himself, before slowly losing the cap on each extreme and leveling out. While he is not particularly difficult to wound, his danger comes from the fact that he doesn't stagger or flinch, and his body slowly reforms. He can slowly heal missing limbs over the course of weeks, but it requires reiatsu flow and the severed limb to be mended; his right arm was lost in his pained frenzy when it was first cut off, and he had not managed to find it before it was withered and rotted- not that Triaina would have et him reattach it anyway, she figured he would stop relying on her and she would lose her place in his life.

Fun Facts; Zankoku was inspired heavily by Neal Illustrator's interpretation of Poseidon in their animatic of the song "Ruthlessness" from the concept album, "Epic!". Yes, I am a theater kid, and yes, that's why I roleplay lmao
