"Um miss... We haven't been outside in ages... We were wondering if we could play outside..." Joyce asked putting on her sweater. The woman was all worked up and doing work, she copied down something and nodded.
"Okay so let's go to the bus stop, I have a pass or two in my coat. I had it when we walked home from school and got captured." I said looking for the stop.
We decided to not stay at the kind lady's house and try to find out if they lied about where my mom and dad were and if they were dead.
"Wait don't you want to go look at the whole... Maybe I can help you and you can go down there and try to find him or something..." Joyce asked scared for my reaction
"He is dead Joyce" I cried
" you never know." She headed towards the road that lead back to the house and pulled me with her.
"now, grab he stones around here and build a wall to stop the stream. Build it on both sides." She said putting the stones down
After a while we were done and the water was calm in the area we closed off. Joyce walked into the house and I heard her going down the stairs. The man probably would have not got any time to pack anything up before being brought to jail and I thought she was getting stuff to live of of un till we are settled. She come out with a long rope that he had downstairs to beat me with on bad days.
"What are you doing?" I asked very confused. She tied the rope around mt waste without saying a word and grappled the remaining long rope.
"Go down there and incase your bin trouble I'll pull the rope." She said tightening her grip on the rope.
I jumped into the calm water and went into the medal tube, the dropped down the whole.
" MAX...MAX.... ITS SOPHIE IM FREE AND I HAVE COMPANY... ARE YOU ALIVE.... MAX" for what seemed like forever I was yelling. I walked a bit further down the tunnel and continued to yell.
* pitter patter pitter patter*
"MAX?" My heart was racing. If my brother was alive it would be a shocking moment. The noises continued and got closer.
"MAXXXX!" I screamed.
My heart stopped. I saw medium sized feet long legs as I looked up I realized, my brother... Was alive.
"S-s- sister- he- sophie- w-h-" he shaked
" it's me sophie max your okay. I'll explain later just come."
"SOPHIE" he cried
He ran to me gave me a hug and cried along with me. All these years of believing he was dead... And now he is here.
"JOYCE PULL ME UP"I yelled
"Who's joy-"
"I'll show you"
I grabbed his hand as I got pulled up.
"Hey you must be Max" Joyce said
"Ya and your Joyce right"
" yup"
We explained what happened over the years what we were doing and basically everything. He was amazed. It was all just so amazing how we all are here together. By the time we finished talking about it we were at the bus stop.
" hello Mr..... -"
" Mr. Rolker" he replied kindly
" here are our passes"I handed him the passes and stared to walk to a seat.
"Kids,Um I hope you don't mind me asking but where are your parents?" He asked
" uh-... Um well.. We ... They told us to um go and go and get something from town... In the store." Joyce lied
"Okay we'll be safe!!!"
The ride took about 15 or 20 minutes and finally we got there. We had made a plan to go to my old school, and walk to my house from there, since I new my way. The bus stop was right around to corner from my school. When I set my eyes on my school I haven't been to in two years, I felt so happy, never before have I ever got happy when I saw school. The sound of the cars speeding past us sounded as if lots of people were cheering us on. I was determined to find my mom and dad. We walked along the street I was kidnapped with my brother on quickly and turned to the street my house was on
"WE ARE ALMOST THERE YAYYY" I kept saying and singing happily. Nothing could go wrong today. NOTHING.
"Is that your house .... It looks like one you described." Joyce asked
"YES!" Me and my brother screamed.
I ran up to the door and pressed the doorbell.
"IT RINGS THE SAME WAY " I said even more exited.
Everything made me happy at the moment. The door nob turned....
