— DEJA VU (CHAPTER ONE)
"DEJA, I hope you understand why we have to move again." Jorge, her father, explained. She looked up at him with a saddened expression before responding. "But I just made friends dad," She argued as Jorge was packing a large brown moving box. "It's not fair!!" He looked at her with a slightly more serious expression. "Look, I have a new job and that means this is final, DEJA." The girl glanced at her father, a hint of anger in her eyes before she ran to her room slamming the door. "This is so stupid.." Deja mumbled as she stuffed her belongings into a packing box her dad had put together earlier that day after trying to win her over by making her favorite breakfast, strawberry pancakes.
SHE understood what moving meant. It means a new school, potentially a new step-mom, and having to start a completely new life.. Even farther from her mom than before. Not that she cares. Deja's mother hasn't been in her life for a very long time and she never got the chance to know her. Jorge wasn't Deja's biological father either, her mom, Dina, wasn't very good with keeping track of all of her men. Which left Jorge with a child who wasn't even his, and he didn't know until Deja got older. Because she grew into features that weren't inherited from him. He always knew that Dina had been sleeping around during their marriage but he never cared to mention it, as he knew she was struggling. And so. now Deja lives with the man she calls her dad, and not the woman who refuses to look for her, ever, because she didn't even bother to check in every once in a while. She never loved Deja.
THROUGHOUT the years, Deja had 3 different step-moms. All of Jorges marriages seemed to be cursed since 4 different women divorced him.. He always had a new girlfriend or a girl in his bed, and it always seemed to piss Deja off. She doesn't want her parents together. she knows they shouldn't be. But she doesn't want a mother in her life anymore.

"Daddy! Where is mommy going?" Seven year old Deja looked up at her father with her little eyes. Jorge sighed and shuddered at the thought of his baby girl growing up without Dina. "She will be back, baby girl. She will." Deja giggled and went back to playing with her toys. He knew she would figure it out eventually, and when that time came he would have to comfort the poor girl. And Deja would no longer have two loving parents in her life. Not that Dina loved her, she thought she was repulsive. She was always disgusted when she had to take care of her offspring, the life she brought into the world..
