Y/N is an Indian girl living in South Korea to pursue her studies. After graduating from college, she begins searching for a part-time job.

Shopkeeper: "Hey! You clumsy girl! Stop right there!" (runs after her)

Y/N: (running away) "Ah, sorry, Uncle! I promise it won’t happen again!"

Shopkeeper: (stopping, panting heavily) "I’ll deal with you next time!" (pretends to be angry)

Y/N: (smirking while running) "Thank you!"

After escaping, Y/N slows down and mutters to herself, "That uncle is so strict... but I was only reading books!" (pouts)

Lost in thought, she suddenly bumps into someone.

Y/N: "Can’t you see where you’re go—" (stops, wide-eyed) "Oh, Lisa!"

Lisa: "Yah, Y/N! I’ve been calling you forever! And here you are, wandering around!"
Y/N: (pretending innocence) "You called me? Really?"
Lisa: (folds arms) "Yes! I had some good news to share, but you—forget it."
Y/N: (puppy eyes) "Nooo, unnie, please tell me! I’m begging you!"

Lisa: "Ugh, fine! The good news is… you got the job you’ve been wanting!"

Y/N: (gasps and twirls in excitement) "What?! I got the job? Yes! Yes! Yes!"

Ignoring the stares of passersby, she notices their amused looks.

Y/N: (awkwardly scratching her neck) "Oops, sorry!" (grins) "Come on, unnie, let’s celebrate!"
Lisa: "Celebrate? Where are we going?"
Y/N: "To a restaurant, of course!"

At the restaurant, Lisa orders coffee while Y/N gets wine.

Lisa: "So, what’s the plan now?"
Y/N: "Plan? For what?"
Lisa: "Your new job, obviously! Aren’t you nervous?"
Y/N: "No way!"

As the drinks arrive, Y/N finishes her wine in one go.

Y/N: "Waiter! Another glass, please!"
Lisa: (alarmed) "Are you crazy? You just had one!"
Y/N: "Shut up, unnie! You stick to your coffee. Moments like this are meant to be celebrated!"

Lisa: (rolling her eyes dramatically) "Don’t expect me to carry you home like some movie heroine!"
Y/N: (mock death glare) "Yah, I’ll kill you for sure!"
Lisa: (nervous laugh) "Just kidding, hehe..."

After chatting for a while, Y/N asks, "By the way, what’s the job?"

Lisa: "You’ll be working as a waitress at the new restaurant."
Y/N: "Oh! That’s exciting! Are you joining too?"
Lisa: "Do you want me to?"
Y/N: "Of course!"
Lisa: "Alright, then I’ll join you. I can’t leave you alone, can I?"
Y/N: "You’re my lifesaver, unnie!"

The next morning, Y/N oversleeps.

Y/N: (panicking) "Oh no, it’s already 7:55! I’ll be late!"

She skips breakfast and rushes to the restaurant, where Lisa is waiting outside.

Y/N: (hugging Lisa) "Finally, I’m here!"
Lisa: (folding her arms) "Y/N, you’re late on your first day. What if the boss yells at you?"
Y/N: "I’m sorry, unnie! Please don’t be mad!"
Lisa: "Fine, fine. Let’s go inside."

They meet the manager and start working. By the end of the day, Y/N collapses on her bed, sighing heavily.

Y/N: "Finally, I can rest..." (instantly falls asleep)

Days pass, and Y/N adjusts to her job. One afternoon, her phone rings.

Y/N: "Hello, Mom!"
Y/M: "Hi, dear! How are you?"
Y/N: "I’m good! What about you, Dad, and that monkey Yashveen?"
Y/M: "We’re all fine. I called to tell you that your cousin Shreya is getting married!"
Y/N: (dramatically) "What?! Who in their right mind is marrying that witch?!"
Y/M: "Watch your words! If she hears this, she’ll come after you!"

After discussing the details, Y/N agrees to fly home the next day.

At the airport, Y/N spots her dad and Yashveen waving at her. She runs to hug them.

Yashveen: "It’s been so long!"
Y/N: (teary-eyed) "Yeah, you idiot. I missed you."
Yashveen: "Wait, what did you call me?"

They all laugh and head home. While helping with wedding preparations, Y/N learns that Shreya’s fiancé and his friends will be staying at their house.

Y/N: (excited) "Wow! This wedding is going to be so much fun!''
