The setting is in the Victorian times in England. They use the old fashioned stuff printing presses and ladies still wore corsets and men had their suits and overcoats etc...
The main character is the second eldest girl of her family of 5,who cross-dresses to work and support her family because her dad died.
Her eldest brother goes to college in hopes of being able to get a good job to support the family.
The main character lives is in the middle class at her mom's small tailoring shop.
