Daisy takes a deep breath before knocking on Alex's apartment door, holding her breath as she waits for him to answer. She's dressed in a simple outfit that she hoped would convey the seriousness of the conversation she was about to have, but the tightness in her chest suggests she's not as prepared as she thought.

When Alex opens the door, his eyes scan her from head to toe before narrowing in annoyance. "What do you want?" he snaps.

"We need to talk," she says firmly, pushing past him into the apartment. Once inside, she notices the place is a mess, clothes and takeout containers scattered everywhere. The air is thick with the smell of stale beer and sweat. Daisy's stomach turns as she tries to find a clean spot to sit.

Alex flops down on the couch, not bothering to clean up. "What's so important that you had to come over unannounced?" he asks, his tone laced with hostility.

She opens her mouth to speak but the words catch in her throat. "It's over, Alex," she finally blurts out, her voice shaking. His eyes widen in surprise before his expression turns dark. "I'm sorry, but you and I both know things have been horrible between us for a while. I just want to be happy, and I want you to be happy too."

Alex's face contorts in anger. He sits up abruptly, causing the couch to groan under his weight. "You think you can just waltz in here and break up with me? After everything I've done for you?" He stands up, towering over her.

Daisy's heart races as she realizes the gravity of the situation. "Please, Alex, don't make this harder than it has to be," she pleads, her voice small and trembling. But it's too late.

He grabs her wrist, yanking her to her feet. "You think you can just throw me away like that?" he sneers, his grip tightening painfully.

"No, Alex, I'm just saying we need a break!"

He pulls her closer, his breath hot and almost sour on her face. "A break?" he spits. "You want a break from this?" He gestures to the mess around them. "This is what you do to me, Daisy. You make me crazy!" His other hand grabs the neck of her shirt, and she feels the fabric tear as he pulls her even closer.

"Let go of me!" she shouts, trying to push him away. But he's too strong, too enraged. The next thing she knows, his hand is across her face, the sound of the slap echoing through the room. Pain explodes in her cheek, and she tastes blood. "Alex, please!" she sobs, but he's beyond reason.

He throws her onto the couch, and she lands awkwardly, her legs sprawling out. "You want a break? Fine!" He yells, his fists clenched. "But first, you're going to give me what I deserve."

Panic grips Daisy as he strides towards her, his eyes wild with fury and something else she can't quite place. She scrambles to get up, but he's on her in an instant, pushing her down and ripping at her clothes. She tries to fight, but his weight is too much.

The couch cushions muffle her screams as she feels his hands on her skin, his breath ragged in her ear. "Stop, Alex, please!" she begs, but he's like a man possessed. Her mind races, trying to think of anything that could calm him down, but fear has taken over, and she can only feel the cold terror seeping into her bones.

His hand squeezes her breast roughly, his teeth digging into her neck as he grinds his hips against her. She can feel his erection pressing into her, and she wants to vomit at the thought of what he's about to do. This isn't love, this isn't passion—It's anger, it's control. And she's the one being controlled.

Tears stream down her face as she feels him tugging at her jeans. She tries to kick him, but he's too strong. He slaps her again, and the world goes fuzzy around the edges. "You're mine, Daisy. You've always been mine!" he growls, his voice a mix of anger and desperation.

The fabric of her jeans gives way, and she feels his bare skin against hers. She can't believe this is happening. This is Alex, the boy she thought she knew, the one she thought she loved.

Her body goes rigid with fear, and she squeezes her eyes shut, bracing for the worst. But instead of pain, she feels a strange sense of detachment, as if she's floating above the scene, watching it unfold like a terrible movie. She can see the look of rage on Alex's face, the way his body tenses with each movement, and the desperation in his eyes. It's as if she's looking at a stranger—A monster.

Once it's all over, Alex slumps back against the couch while lighting a cigarette. "Get the fuck out." His voice is cold, devoid of any affection.

Daisy, trembling and disheveled, sits up, trying to gather her torn clothing around her. She can't believe what just happened. This wasn't the love she had hoped for, nor the breakup she had planned. She nods, her cheek stinging and her eyes red from crying. "I'm sorry," she whispers, though she's not sure what she's apologizing for.

Daisy stumbles out of his apartment, the button on her jeans gone, her shirt torn down the middle. She struggles not to vomit, struggles not cry as she fumbles with her bag. She desperately searches for her phone as the evening sun glares down on her, her chest heaving as if she just ran a marathon. Finally, her trembling fingers find it, and she dials Melody's number, her vision blurry with tears. "Mel, please come get me," she whispers into the receiver, her voice hoarse from the screams she'd held back.

Melody arrives quickly, her eyes widening in horror at the sight of Daisy's disheveled state. She doesn't ask questions, just wraps her arms around her friend and pulls her into a tight embrace. "Let's go," she says firmly, leading her to her car.

Daisy nods, unable to speak as she follows her friend to the safety of the vehicle. Once they're on the road, the dam breaks, and she sobs uncontrollably, her body shaking with each heave.

Melody keeps her eyes on the road, her jaw tight, her knuckles white on the steering wheel. "It's okay," she murmurs, her voice a soothing balm to Daisy's battered soul. "It's going to be okay."
