Chapter 1
Lorenzo Pov
A loud noise woke me up from my sleep and I slam my alarm shut to get up from bed and made my way in the bathroom after a quick shower I changed into tailor made italian suit and made my way to the kitchen where a cup of my morning coffee was waiting for me I sip my coffee while reading latest business news half of which are probably made up but I don't give a shit about others business unless they poke their noses in my business , reading that there is nothing important to pay attention to , I gave my driver a call and made my way out of the penthouse there my driver was patiently waiting for me to get in my BMW so that he can drove us to the company
After reaching the tall 25th storey building that is my company I made my way to my private elevator and press 25th floor button the elevator come to a stop after reaching the floor and opened up with a ding sound
As soon as I stepped out, I noticed the front desk didn't have the gorgeous person I am used to instead a beautiful young lady aka Sarah was seated with a folder in her hand and was typing something on the key board. As soon as she noticed me walking to her she gave me a small smile.
"Good morning Mr. Lorenzo" she greeted
"Morning Sarah where is Alex?" I asked
"He called in sick and asked me to help you out today with the meeting and schedule" she answered
"Oh so can you send today's schedule in my office and also the files I asked Alex yesterday to give me this morning" I said
"Of course he told me about that just give me minute I will be in your office" I nodded at her and went inside my office
Despite the calm exterior I was worried about Alex , he is my personal assistant for 3 months and he rarely called in sick or took a day off . Something about him just attracts me to him but I am ignoring it for past months. Sarah pulled me back from my thoughts of this gorgeous man as she came in my office after knocking
"Here , this is today's schedule and this is the file you asked for" she said while putting everything on the desk
"Well thank you Sarah you may leave now" I said she just quickly mumbled a 'yes' and went out of the office .

The day was going by terribly slow meeting after meeting and going through important emails the day just got boring without having Alex here to look at or his amazing coffee that kept me from falling asleep in the middle of the day ... I still wonder if he was feeling better or not but I can't even call him I have no excuse to do so . He is very reserved person and even in the office he just answers what he is asked and rarely smiles which makes me even more attracted to him and get to know everything about him . I sighed and again got to work

It was curently 6.30 pm and I was just getting ready to leave the office though all the employees went their home half an hour ago . I hope Alex will show up tomorrow because today was very hard to go by without him I scoff at my self and my thoughts as Alex didn't even seem to notice my liking for him for past 3 months . He always politely declined my offer to have lunch or give him ride home when we stayed late overworking sometimes he wasn't shy just reserved but he wasn't rude either. Ugh am thinking about him again for millionth time this day .

I went home and changed into a white t-shirt and black sweatpants had dinner and was about to pass out on my bed when my phone buzzed with a call groaning I picked my phone from the night stand and my jaw dropped and pulse quicken when I read the caller id
Why was Alex Calling me at 11.45 at night???
