At a later time, Wei WuXian pondered upon the reason why his relationship with Lan WangJi wasn’t good. Getting to the root of the matter, everything started when he was fifteen,

"Are you sure, the problem didn't start when you were born?" Jiang Wanyin spoke jokingly and Wei wuxian pouted.

Nie Huaisang giggld before speaking, "pretty sure your problem started when he was born" he said jokingly and Jin Zixuan couldn't help, but laugh remembering all the times thw Jiang hier scolded Wei Wuxian.

Jin Zixun had been oddly well behaved so far, in that moment, he also laughed at Nie Huaisang's joke, but seeing the way all five boys - yes, including Lan Wangji - glare at him as he did, everyone could immidiatly understand why he'd grown so quiet after feeling entitled to follow his cousin to seat with the other gentry children.

coming to the GusuLan Sect with Jiang Cheng to study for three months.

There was a virtuous and prestigious elder in the GusuLan Sect - Lan QiRen.

Lan Qiren's brow twitched while Wei wuxian beamed, "are we going to our timeline now?" He asked facin those of the future.

Instead of an answer, he got what only be described as sounds of excitement as the four juniors from the future got excited.

"We're gonna see Hanguang-Jun and Wei Qianbei as teens?!" Lan Jingyi got excited as he practically squeeled out.

"Woah, when they were our age!" Zizhen beamed as the four went on to fanboy over their elders.

The elders in question, just watched while hearing their names being passed around here and there by the teen - who were closer to ZeWu-Jun's age during this times their the elders they name.

Everyone in the cultivation world accepted three characteristics which described him: pedantic, stubborn, and a strict teacher who produced outstanding students. Although the first two points kept a lot of people at a respective distance to him, some even to the point of secret dislike, the last one made them try everything they could to send their children to study under him. He had brought up quite a number of excellent disciples of the Lan Sect. As long as they stayed a few years in his classroom, no matter how pathetically useless they were when they first entered, they would at least seem to be decent when they depart, especially in terms of appearance and etiquette. There were plenty of parents who were so excited that tears flowed down their cheeks when they picked up their sons.

Lan Qiren didn't know whether to take that as a conplement or insult, so he remained silent.

Grandmaster Lan turned to the patriarch, though not many noticed - he smiled at the younger man, aa fond smile, before nodding.

The twin jades noticed, sharing a look before Hanguang-Jun kissed te top of his husband's head, the patriarch wa smiling widely the entire time.

He might've had a rough start, but Lan Qiren eventually came around, and he loved Wei Wuxian like one more of his nephews - some of the Juniors even joked he loved him more than the jades!

To this matter, Wei WuXian declared, “Do I not seem decent enough as of right now?”

The moment was over almost as soon as it started.

Grandmaster Lan gave a heavy sigh hearing the patriarch giggle maniacally.

The juniors had theirr eyes almost buge out of their sockets as they stared at the screen - Wen Ning couldn't help but smile seeing the kids forgot the teenage versions of their elders they so wished to see had been sitting across the room this whole time.
