The weight of Mrs. Park's revelation hung heavily in the air, a knot of unease forming in the guts of the two boys who sat on the bed with Jake who was deep in slumber due to the pain and drugs running through his system.

Never would they have imagined being offered to kill their father-in-law just to be able to embrace the relief of a non-abusive environment, it was simply out of the ordinary, something wasn't right.

Especially if his wife was the one who had suggested this.

"What?" Jungwon whispered after a while of uncomfortable silence that washed over them in the confines of their beloved guestrooms which they had become accustomed to meeting up in.

Mrs. Park straightened her posture on the chair, her reinforced attitude dispersing throughout the room as she elaborated to them.

"Well, I wouldn't want to kill my own husband, that's a whole new level of cruelty." She admitted and a huge sense of relief washed over the two like the smell of rain on a peaceful summer evening. "But I have a better solution. I'll be moving out the mansion with Jimin by tomorrow."

It sounded as though she was reassuring herself rather than telling them what she was doing, so uncertain.

"What? No!" Jungwon exclaimed, causing a hand to clamp over his mouth as Sunoo gestured towards Jake who was still sleeping in his lap, his breathing was ragged, and he kept moving in his sleep, seemingly restless.

"Rub his back, Sunoo." She instructed and that's exactly what he did, the action trying to provide some sort of comfort to the distressed boy. She looked over at Jungwon. "I've thought about it. We will be moving to another city by tomorrow evening. It took a lot of time for me to convince him, but I think it's the right thing to do. I can't bear to see you all suffer like this, I just can't. Leaving with him will make things so much easier for you. He won't be inserting those disgusting thoughts into the kid's brains--"

"You can't leave. We need you here, Eomma." Jungwon stated as his eyes glistened with tears threatening to fall. Although he was uncomfortable with Mrs. Park at first, assuming that she was just like the rest of family, he grew to grow fond of the woman. She treated him like a real mother, unlike his who had sold him off for money. He wasn't willing to let such a relationship go so quickly. "Can't we just kill him?" He questioned.

Despite the tense atmosphere, Sunoo and the elder woman let put a small laugh while Jungwon unconsciously pouted.

"No, Wonnie," She smiled at him, her gaze held nothing apart from love and admiration. "I need to leave. It's the only way to keep you all safe. I would be more than happy with myself knowing I was able to help you all."

The waterworks were already starting with Sunoo, tears falling from his eyes as he tried to look strong, but it wasn't working as Jungwon began to sob loudly next to him, sounding like an infant and they were soon embraced by the woman who had tears of her own glistening in her eyes.

"Why so soon, though?" Sunoo asked once they had pulled out of the hug, gazing up at her like an abandoned puppy left in the street.

She smiled reassuringly, putting a hand on his cheek as Jungwon aggressively bit the inside of his mouth, earning a soft slap on the face from Mrs. Park. "Don't do that." She warned him, but there was no venom in her tone, it was soft and fragile, as if Jungwon were a noise sensitive glass that would shatter if she spoke too loudly. "We need to do things the sooner the better, am I right?" She asked, drawing an annoyed sigh from Jungwon.
