At ANHS in class 2-A, an enigmatic boy named Kiyotaka Ayanokōji sat at the back of the classroom, his head propped up as he gazed out the window, not even bothered to pay attention to any of the lessons the teacher, Miss Chabasira is going over.

For the last couple of months, for some reason the current constant education became a bore for Kiyotaka since he already knew it all and now felt forced to learn it all again. He sighed as his mind continued to wonder off endlessly, seemingly the only thing that's keeping him entertained.

Psst

He heard a whisper, someone was trying to get his attention to which he sighed, not really in the mood for conversation in his gloating, but he reluctantly looked and saw a long black haired girl with a cute face. Suzune Horikita.

Suzune: "You look pretty deep in thought, are planning something? Is it something to do with the class?"

Kiyotaka: "No, I'm afraid it's none of your business at the moment. I'm just in thought."

Suzune: "None of my business? Just in thought? What's with you today, you should be focusing on how we'll stay class A, not wandering to wherever your going."

Kiyotaka: "I guess I have more brain space to think of other things besides obsessing over being class A. You should learn to do that too, you know?"

Suzune: "So now I'm narrow minded? Is that what your saying?"

Kiyotaka: "Yes. That is what I'm saying. Your obsession over being class A is unhealthy. What's the point anymore, once we're on that level nothing's really gonna change besides our ranks, I can't help but feel why bother trying anymore."

Suzune: "So what's that supposed to mean? Your giving up or something?"

Kiyotaka: "I guess so. I don't see the purpose in this anymore. I'm in a constant battle of wits with people ranked below me, it's quite sad to be honest. I'm afraid I'm dropping out."

Suzune: "But you know I need you, you can't just drop out and leave this all on me!"

Kiyotaka: "I know. I'm the only reason this class is even still standing. But I don't really care anymore, so don't bother trying to change my mind. You'll learn to adapt on your own, I wouldn't say it's impossible but I highly doubt you could."

Suzune was speechless as she stared at Kiyotaka with a rageful scowl, before turning her attention back to the lesson.

Kiyotaka remained indifferent at the anger he inflicted on Suzune and simply turned his head the other way, gazing back out the window.

Kiyotaka: "There they are again. Their increasing in number."

Break started.

Kiyotaka packed up his things, in doing so he glanced up and saw Suzune' glare before she left the classroom, still clearly pissed about earlier's conversation.

But Kiyotaka couldn't careless, he finished packing his things up than simply sat their, in complete silence as the students exited the classroom. His mind began wondering where he'd go now, would he just wonder the streets in search of a new goal? Or would he simply continue being a slave and return that place?

Wack

His thoughts were interrupted as someone threw a ball of paper against his head. He looked and saw none other than the only man he respected in this world and could actually consider a friend. His name was Shiro.

Shiro had purple hair and eyes. As he looked at Kiyotaka he had a bored look on his face, almost resembling Kiyotaka's infamous pokerface.

Kiyotaka: "Mind if I asked why you did that?"
