Yeosang slammed the car door shut and reached for his gun. San followed him with quick steps across the square to the entrance of the house. Yeosang's heart was beating so fast that he could feel it in his whole body and felt like he was going to pass out at any moment. He had never felt such fear in his life.

While San dealt with the door, Yeosang walked around nervously in a circle. As he did so, he kept biting his lower lip so hard that the taste of blood quickly spread through his mouth. It clicked and San jumped up. "I've got it!" he shouted and opened the front door.

Yeosang walked past him into the building. He had no patience to take the elevator, so he ran up the stairs. "Wait," San called after him, but Yeosang ignored that too. His thoughts were only focused on one person and everything else was no longer important.

Out of breath, he arrived on the right floor and braced himself with his hands on his knees. It wasn't long before San arrived behind him, out of breath as well. Yeosang raised his head and looked down the dark corridor. His eyes fixed on the last door in the corridor and he staggered on.

As he stood in front of the door, everything inside him tightened. The door was slightly open. San stood behind him. They exchanged a glance with each other, then Yeosang pushed the door more open with his index finger. It squeaked and opened halfway. Darkness in the apartment met them. It was so quiet that it seemed as if no one was at home.

With goose bumps, Yeosang entered the apartment slowly. "Hello?" he asked slowly into the darkness, but as expected, there was no answer. Yeosang felt San's hand on his shoulder and flinched slightly. "Something's strange," San whispered. And he was right. There was something in the air and it scared Yeosang. Nevertheless, he continued to walk slowly, clutching his gun.

They walked around the corner of the hallway and the couch in the living room appeared in front of them. Yeosang held his breath. It was so quiet. Far too quiet.

Suddenly, the gun was kicked out of Yeosang's hand and fell to the floor with a loud clang. Shocked, Yeosang looked after the gun, but was grabbed from behind the next moment, then pushed against the wall behind him.
He stared into Hongjoong's dark eyes in shock. Seonghwa appeared behind Hongjoong.

San took a few steps back into the hallway. Hongjoong pressed his elbow so hard against Yeosang's chest that he could hardly breathe. "Do you think you can trick us?" Hongjoong suddenly shouted. Anger was literally written all over his face and, full of fear, Yeosang grabbed his arms to free himself from his grip, but he didn't have enough strength. The oxygen slowly drained from his lungs. And yet he could only think of one person.

"Where's Jongho?" he croaked, his voice breaking. Hongjoong tightened his grip. "Did you really think we didn't know who you've been seeing all these nights? Or that you wanted to deceive us so that your friends don't get hurt?" A stifled cough left Yeosang's throat. His eyes filled with tears. His face turned red. Looking for help, he turned to San, who was standing anxiously in the hallway and not moving a muscle. Yeosang pushed against Hongjoong with the last of his strength, but it was no use. He felt dizzy.

"That's enough," Seonghwa suddenly said and grabbed Hongjoong's arm roughly. He pulled him away and Yeosang slumped powerlessly to the ground. His hand landed on his chest and with quick breaths, he tried to catch his breath.

"We've taught your friends a little lesson, that's all," Seonghwa explained. He let go of Hongjoong, who glared at him. Yeosang only vaguely heard Seonghwa's words, but as long as Jongho was fine, he didn't care about anything else.

Hongjoong's gaze wandered to San, who was still standing in the same place. "And what about you?" Hongjoong asked provocatively. "You already betrayed us back then with Yunho, but now?" Yeosang shook his head in panic and straightened up with all his might. He grabbed Hongjoong's hand in desperation. "San has nothing to do with any of this, I forced him," he said far too quickly.
