I opened my eyes with caution, grey light seeped through as I tried to move. My muscles were sore, and my throat was aching. "Shh.. Just try to get up slowly." The womans voice spoke softly. "Drilla?" My eyes shot open, as I sat up abruptly my head started to spin. When my vision cleared, I could see her. Her eyes were dulled since the last time I saw her, yet she still smiled at me. "Yes, child. It is me, but before we catch up on old things I need to tell you a story." I nodded at her slowly. "Once a long time ago, there was a prophecy made by the famous shaman of the old kingdom, that a maiden would one day claim the throne of our world long after the Kingdom has been abandoned. Now, they people of those times laughed at the shaman, they knew the King and Queen would never leave their kingdom, and neither would the people. But many years later there was a quake in the ground that shook the Kingdom for so long that the Queen and King fled for safety, as did the people. Yet the Shaman remain in the castle courtyard laughing, he lauhed there for so long that the quake finally opened up the ground and sallowed the man. Seconds later vines began to grow from the hole that swallowed the shaman, they grew up and over the entire castle. Some say that they are just waiting there for the maiden to claim the Kingdom. Little sprouts of trees started popping up out of nowhere with these peculiar berries growing from them. And years later the origonal King and Queen died from sickness. The castle remains dark and abandoned, surrounded by sprites and gnomes, fairies and ogres, unicorns and trolls. It is a solemn place, very few people choose to wander in, some say the evil witch lives in the old cottage of a peasant inside the forrest. You see what I'm telling you, Charmaine?" I took in the information carefully, "What happened to the King and Queens children, I mean they must have had a child." Drilla took my hand and caressed it softly, "They had a daughter but she died when she had about five years." I sighed. "Why are you telling me this?" Drilla looked me over, "Well, if I show you something you may not run away from me.  You must let me explain." SHe stood up slowly and walked to the center of the room. I could tell we were back at the orphanage, this room was once a padded cell in the asylum. Drilla stared at me thoughtfully, her eyes locked with mine and didnt leave. Slowly I could see flecks of violet protrude through the iris, her hair started to grow back its color. Her wrinkles were disappearing and her skin started to glow a flurescent white. "I am The Countess of Luvia, Lillith of the night." I gasped in horror as I realized the woman I thought I love was a crazy person. "What are you?" I managed to whisper.

"I'm sorry that I've had to lie to you all of these years. Charmaine, I beleive you are the heir to the throne." Everything went black.
