Pokémon Dark Red

The Tale

I was playing Pokémon Black on my Nintendo DS in my living room at 12:23PM in an apartment in Brooklyn New York when I heard a knock on my door, I saved my game and turned off my DS and put it down on the living room table before going up to the door. As soon as I opened it, I saw a small package and a letter, I picked the letter up and read it.

The package and game in said package was delivered to my door by the CEO of Game freak Satoshi Tajiri?! No way, I need to try it out right now. I pulled the game's cartridge out of my DS and went into my bedroom to store in DS game collection before going back to the living room to grab the package and close the door. I grabbed my box cutter and opened it, I put the box cutter down and grabbed the game out of the package. It was ... strange.

The game's cover is different, the has Hilbert and Hilda in it, but Hilda's face is scribbled in red marker, the title "PKMN Dark Red" is in red marker as well, and there's ... h-hyper realistic b-blood!?!?!?! I swear to god this game might be haunted. I wipe the hyper realistic blood off the game before putting the game in my DS and pressed start, the game starts with no intro and no gender selection screen, it just let me play as Hilbert, that's weird, is it a glitch? Is haunted? Who the fuck knows! The game goes on like normal until the end where Hilda and went up to Hilbert, starting the Pokémon Battle.

The text in the battle was strange, instead of "Trainer Hilda wants to battle!" It said "Trainer Hilda wanted revenge against you.." and the battle does not have any Pokémon, it's just Hilda and Hilbert, I don't know what to do until 60.2782 nanoseconds later that I choose "Shove" Hilbert shoved Hilda to a pit a lava as I witnessed the cutscene of her drown in the lava as her skin, eyes and hair got burnt off with hyper realistic screaming.

Hilbert went up to the pit of lava and started crying, the cries are also hyper realistic as well, he accidentally killed her in the process, I shed a tear as well before the game fades to black, the game fades to a cutscene with Hilbert on the couch when he hears a knock on the door, he went up to it and opens it to see Hilda in a latex suit and plague doctor masked that reminds me of Heatmor, she was resurrected as a zombie as her white glowing eye looked at Hilbert for 1 minutes, 20 seconds and 64 milliseconds  before saying "I KNOW WHAT YOU DID TO ME, AND KNOW ... YOU MUSY PAY!!" before grabbing a knife which heated the steel blade up and gutted Hilbert with it, hyper realistic blood and guts spew out before he dies, she unmasked herself and eats the his guts before the screen fades to black before flash this game over screen.

I was scared shitless as I tuned off the game before calling Satoshi Tajiri about the game.

Satoshi Tajiri: "Hello?"
Ronald: "Hey, I wanted to tell you something real quick."
Satoshi Tajiri: "What is it?"
Ronald: "Is ... Is this game haunted, is this gamed glitched?"
Satoshi Tajiri: "Nether of those, it was officially made by our team and it had a completely different plot compared to the rest of the fifth generation of our mainline Pokémon games."
Ronald: "Oh thank god, but why is it canceled?"
Satoshi Tajiri: "Well ... It's ... complicated, you see, me and my team originally planned on a horror game for Pokémon, but we have to cancel the game despite being finished because we thought a horror game of a family-friendly IP wouldn't work. That's why it's canceled in the first place."
Ronald: "Ooohh ... I can see why, thanks for asking my questions though."
Satoshi Tajiri: "You're welcome, let me know if you have any more questions."
Ronald: "Got it, bye Satoshi."
Satoshi Tajiri: "Bye Ronald."

I was relived that the game wasn't haunted, but at the same time I was still scared by the game itself, I decided to take the game and my DS to my bedroom, I put the DS on my drawer while I made a special display case for the canceled Pokémon horror game and put in it before placing it near my DS game collection on the same shelf.
