Khanyisile's POV:

Khanyisile couldn't even look up because she had been too embarrassed.
So she quickly gathered her things and was on her way out when Nkanyezi pulled her by the arm.

"Khanyi where are you going, what's going on between you and phila?"

"Friend I will talk to you later I just can't right now" she quickly said and dashed to the door when Nkanyezi had let go of her arm.

Khanyisile got into her car and drove to her sister's house because she's the only person she felt she could talk to at that moment.

She got into her sister's house using the spare key.

"Mbali are you home?" She shouted.

"Yes I'm in the bathroom", Mbali shouted back.

Khanyisile sat in the kitchen, her eyes red and puffy from crying. When Mbali entered, her initial smile faltered as she took in her sister's distress. "Hey, sis, what's wrong?" Mbali asked, concern etched on her face.

Khanyisile broke down, her body shaking with sobs. "I can't do this anymore, Mbali," she whispered, her voice cracking.

Mbali quickly moved to her side, wrapping a comforting arm around her shoulders. "Can't what, Khanyisile? You're scaring me. What's going on?"

Khanyisile's words tumbled out between sobs. "I don't know what to do... I'm so scared... I don't want to go through this again." Her voice trailed off, leaving Mbali looking puzzled and worried.

"Babes, you need to tell me what's happening," Mbali urged gently. "You're speaking in riddles, and I can't help you if I don't understand what's going on."

Khanyisile hesitated, then began, "You know the guy I told you about?"

Mbali frowned, "No, you didn't tell me about any guy."

Khanyisile nodded, taking deep breaths before launching into the story. "I met him at the grocery store... Philasande, Nkanyezi's cousin. He was at game night too. I found him really attractive, and we were supposed to go on a date, but I had to cancel because of Mom and Dad."

Mbali's eyes widened in surprise. "Khanyisile, why didn't you tell me when I called you? I could have handled the situation with Mom and Dad."

Khanyisile shook her head, "Mbali, I can't let you do that. You've been through enough with them already."

Mbali's frustration boiled over, "But so have you, Khanyisile! You can't keep shouldering this burden alone."

Khanyisile gazed down, her eyes brimming with tears. Mbali's expression softened, and she sighed. "I'm sorry for shouting, but I can't watch you do this anymore." Her voice was calm and gentle now. "You can't keep shutting people out of your life because of Mom and Dad. That's unfair, not just to others, but to yourself too. It's time to face this and talk to them about it."

Khanyisile nodded slowly, her voice barely above a whisper. "Okay."

"Now tell me more about this guy," Mbali said, her curiosity piqued.

Khanyisile's face lit up with a giggle. "He's just so... captivating," she began. "His smile is absolutely beautiful - it lights up the whole room. And his intimidating aura is weirdly attractive, like he's got this confidence that draws you in." She paused, her eyes sparkling with excitement. "But what really gets me is his caring heart. He's got this gentle side that he only shows to those close to him, and it's just... ugh, it's like he's the whole package, you know?"

Mbali nodded, a determined look on her face. "Good. Because, honestly, Khanyi, you deserve to be happy. And if Philasande is the one who makes you happy, then you should go for it."

Khanyisile sighed, her shoulders sagging in defeat. "I know. It's just... what if Mom and Dad find out? What if they don't approve?"

Mbali's expression turned stern. "Khanyi, you can't live your life based on what Mom and Dad think. You need to do what's best for you. And if that means talking to Philasande and seeing where things go, then so be it."

Khanyisile nodded slowly, a small smile on her face. "You're right. I'll do it. I'll talk to him on Sunday."

Mbali grinned, pulling her sister into a hug. "That's my girl! And I'll be here, cheering you on every step of the way."
