"Kara," Conner smirked, his eyes holding that intensity she loved so much.
"Valentine," She purred, leaning across the desk to give him a good, long look at everything he would no longer enjoy after today.
His eyes flicked to the deep v between her breasts before returning to her eyes.
She smiled and slowly sat back, taking the best view in the office with her. Let him look. After all, even a dying man deserves a last meal, right? And from the look in his eyes, he was downright staving.
"You have a client in your office and I'll need my exit interview by four." She matched the heat in his eyes with a challenge of her own. A challenge he, until now, had shown no intention of accepting.
"As soon as I finish this interview, we'll take care of it." He said, a not-so-subtle promise in his voice. His eyes got that sexy, half-lidded "I'm going to eat you up later" look she'd seen him turn on other women countless times, making moisture pool between her legs.
His abrupt change surprised her, but damned if she wasn't willing to see where it would go. "I'll be waiting." She answered, leaning back in her chair to look him up and down.
He smiled as he backed toward the open office door, returning the gesture every bit as openly as she had.
She bit her lip and watched him slowly turn back toward work. Damn that man could melt the panties off a nun. She shifted in her seat, careful not to rub her legs together and create an even bigger problem. She pondered her boss's change in behavior as she finished a few last minute tasks and got the office ready to close down.
Twenty minutes later, a good ten minutes sooner than she would normally expect a case opening interview to end, Conner walked the last client she'd see enter the office to and out the door. Kara sighed as she print one final report and hit the series of buttons that would make sure the computer shut down as soon as the printer spit out the last page.
She stood, pushed her chair into place and waited for Conner's return. The exit interview was a technicality they'd been avoiding since she gave her notice nearly three weeks before. If she knew it was going to elicit that steamy look she'd gotten from him less than a half an hour ago, she would have done it sooner. She smirked and pushed a lone pencil across the desk to make it come to rest against the other writing utensils. No doubt the next secretary would rearrange the desk to suit her own personal needs, but the jumbled heap of supplies just past the left of the computer's monitor had always worked for her.
An all but silent click of the door's closing mechanism warned her the sexy as sin owner of the company had returned. "You ready for me?" She asked, making no effort to disguise the double meaning of her words.
He mumbled something in a language she'd never heard before and gestured for her to follow him.
Yeah, she'd gotten to him. Finally. After years of chipping away at what seemed to be an iron will, he'd finally shown sign that he knew what she was offering. It was about damn time. She watched the man she'd been lusting over for years lead the way past the usual meeting rooms and into the back, to his private rooms. Oh lucky her. There were plenty of surfaces she could see herself pinning him to back there. Least imaginative of which was the chaise lounge chair and matching sofa she'd helped him pick out last year, but they'd do in a pinch.
Her musings were stopped by that knee melting accent he sometimes dipped into without meaning to. "Penny for your thoughts, cher?"
She smiled, "You underestimate my thoughts, Mr. V. I guarantee they're worth far more than a penny." Having thrown down the proverbial gauntlet, she waited and hoped he accepted her challenge.

ParanormalThis is a story a guy challenged me to write. He gave me one of the characters and basically said "Let's see what you've got." Not one to back down from a challenge, I wrote it. It's EXTREMELY racy and definitely adult content. You have been warned...
