Childhood days seemed to be full of fun. Playing, playing, playing, and playing is everywhere. Innocence occupies every child and the awareness of what is happening seems unnoticeable.
I as a child, knew nothing but to eat, sleep, and play. Nothing comes to my mind that life would be not that easy for me. And love would come in such an odd way.
During my childhood days, I loved to play with my friends- in our backyard, in the playground, in the streets, everywhere! I have had a lot of playmates since then, and I had bad times when it rained, for my mom wouldn't allow me to go outside, and when I insisted, she would scold me. I started to cry and rushed into my room, tears falling from my eyes as I looked outside the window. My friends were enjoying themselves there in the rain, while I stayed in the house all day! How I wished I could play with them outside.
Mistakes had been made and punishments were given. Disobeying wasn't good at all. More often I'd rather stay in the house all day than come out to play. I learned to hate being scolded and being an outcast. But little by little, my friends started to move away from me without knowing why, until they were all gone. Things easily changed. From that day on, I thought that being alone and relying upon myself was my only fate.
Until one day, I was sitting on a swing - swinging myself all the way, whistling like those birds in trees, and fancy seeing the bluish sky. Unexpectedly, everything flashed in my mind. I had nothing left to stop the tears and my cheeks ran wet. "It wasn't fair!" I shouted helplessly. Later on, someone comes over to me. I hadn't noticed him since then until he gently spoke, "Is there something wrong?" I looked up and saw a little kid like me. His eyes seemed to be asking what was happening. I quickly rubbed my eyes with my fist and slowly moved up. I am uncertain whether to run or to talk to him. "Are you okay?", he asked a question again. It seemed that he pitied me which made me cry again. The boy started panicking, he tried to tame me but he couldn't until I got tired of it. He sat on the swing near beside me. He glanced at me twice and then he spoke, "Why is it you're not playing with those kids?" he pointed to the kids running and playing near in sight. I merely kept silent. "Oh, I see, you don't want to play with them, do you?" he smiled. "That's not true!" I stood up and angrily responded. To his surprise, he merely looked at me. I suddenly grew uneasy, "Why are staring at me like that?" but he still stared at me. I abruptly jumped to my feet as well. "I said, why are you staring at me?!" I shouted at him. When he still did, I immediately walked near him. I felt insulted and was going to explode with anger. "Stop that! You don't look funny at all!" I hit his face with my hand. I was surprised by what I've done, "I-I'm sorry... I didn't mean to hurt you..." I said as I cast down my eyes. After a while, he stood up. I thought he was going to do the same but... "Ouch! That really hurts." He laughed as he touched his face. "You mean..." I looked at him embarrassed. "Oh, that's okay, I just want you to be my friend. Come, we can play", he smiled and offered his hand to me. That smile made me feel better that made me smile too. And that was it! From that day on we became the best of friends we ever can be. He's always there whenever I'm feeling down and lonely. He always cheers me up and he's so ridiculous! Days seemed not complete without him."I thought you gonna burst into tears again. I'd better give you a bucket instead of a hanky if I had one", he teased me one Monday afternoon. He withdrew his hanky and put it in his pocket. We're in the same school and both in 4th year high school and it's been so many years since I met him. "Oh! You!" I smiled. "There! That's what I want. You look beautiful after all when you're smiling", he said as he was sitting beside me. "Liar!" I laughed. "Says who? You do trust me, don't you?" he snapped. "Okay, okay, enough for that. Why don't you bring these things for me and let's go home, okay?" I put my books on his chest. He quickly grabbed it as I slowly moved up and walked away. "Hey! Wait for me!" He ran and reached out for me.
