A few hours have passed since I started writing, and it feels great to put all my feelings and thoughts on paper. It always helps to gain a different perspective on things. Since Scott opened up to me and told me most of what he knew, I decided I wouldn't continue with my plan. I am not sure that I will fall madly in love with him but he can be a powerful gain in my life since he is the only one who would know where I can find someone to train me to become a witch, so for now I'll start taking things day by day.
The entire diary is almost full so I decide to leave it for a while. I wonder what Scott is up to, I haven't seen him since this morning. "Scott? Are you here?" Not getting a reply, I walk down the stairs to see if he is here somewhere. It is silly of me to think that he might not have heard me since he has super hearing or whatever you call it.
After I searched for him for a few minutes I gave up. It is irregular for me to miss his presence, I can't wrap my head around it, something in me trusts him and wants to become close to him but on the other hand, a feeling deep inside me still fears him.
It is terribly lonely in this mansion when no one else is around and sitting in my room, by the window I stare down at the garden. It wouldn't be so bad if I went to walk in the garden would it? I grab a coat from the closet and head outside. The night breeze is crisp but refreshing, the garden is so beautiful with such a fantastic variety of flowers. In the center of the flower maze is a gigantic fountain surrounded by a few benches and tables. Each table has a blue tablecloth and a small bouquet of daisies. What is this obsession with blue, or is it just his favorite color?
Something catches my eye, and a beautiful black Great Dane emerges from the east side of the maze, from experience, I know these dogs are very calm but tend to be resilient toward strangers, so I am quite unsure how to approach it. Deciding to go the typical dog lover route I bend down facing the massive dog. "Hey doggo, who might you be?" I extend my hand towards the dog, and he slowly moves towards me, sniffing now and then. A few hesitant looks at me, he finally pushes his nose against my chest bumping me over to sit down. I laugh rubbing him on his back and side. "Such a good boy!" As I say it he starts leaving slobby licks on my cheek making me laugh even more.
"Butcher!" I Scotts voice from behind me. Butcher immediately stops and sits down next to me, "I leave you alone for 2 minutes and here you are trying to escape?" Just before I start trying to explain he lets out a chuckle. "I'm kidding, relax! Although, I am surprised Butcher came to you." He walks to me and helps me to my feet. "He is so sweet." "Usually he isn't, I've seen him rip a few people to shreds." I want to laugh but he seems to be serious, so instead I start rubbing Butcher again "Aw such a protective boy aren't you?"
Scott seems amazed by this, he doesn't look away for one second. "Come, it's cold out here." When Scott tries to take my hand Butcher starts growling and steps in between the two of us. We both burst into a fit of laughter, "Whoah down boy!" I say and Butcher relaxes. "Jeez, you turned my own dog against me in less than a minute." He laughs. I move forward and take his hand. We walk through the garden chatting away with Butcher close behind us.
Once inside Butcher stops and Scott starts closing the door, "Oh come on, my fierce protector deserves to sleep next to me tonight" "Is that an invitation?" Scott smirks at me, I roll my eyes at him dramatically, "You wish! And you know what I meant." I point towards Butcher. "No way, he sleeps outside, end of story!" "Pleeeaaassssseeee." Both the dog and I look at Scott with puppy dog eyes and Scott huffs. "Fine, this is not fair, how the fuck am I supposed to say no to such a good girl."
Butcher's tail wags as he walks with us into the kitchen, hitting us both and it feels like a damn whip. "Sorry for going outside." I am feeling guilty for some reason. Scott looks up from where he is standing peeling potatoes "Why are you sorry, you didn't do anything wrong?" I smile at him, happy that I didn't make him mad.
"So, where did you disappear to all day? I was lonely." "Lonely huh? So you missed me?" he is avoiding the question but I'll leave it since I like this joking side of him. I'll just play along then, two can play at this game I tell myself. Grabbing the washcloth I swat at his arm, "You are such a smart mouth." We giggle together. Let's see how far this goofy side of his can be pushed, shall we? I lean on my elbows on the counter in front of him, teasing him with my cleavage, and since I am wearing a low-cut shirt it is easy. "Did you miss me?" I ask in the coolest voice I can summon, he looks up and I hear his breath hitch and see his jaw tense.
"What are you doing?" He asks, teeth grinding. "Asking you a question." I confidently state with a smirk lurking on my face and shrugging my shoulders. This is fun, keeping him on his toes, and all. Darting around the counter her turns me around, and in one swift movement, he has me on the counter, standing between my legs. "If you don't stop playing your little game soon, there is no telling what I might do." Holding me in place with both hands he slides his tongue across his lip. Why is it so incredibly sexy when he does that? I can't focus on anything else besides his lips.
I remember the magic words "Please kiss me, Daddy." Our lips aggressively meet, colliding with force and the sexual tension between us only grows, I can feel it, we want each other but I am not ready to give that part of my life away yet, he still needs to earn it. Our lips move together as if it had been rehearsed, we are in sync. He grips his arms around me, pulling me tight against him, and my hand tugs at his gorgeous his. My lips part and our tongues meet, it feels like we are creating a ballroom dance inside our mouths together.
Our lips part too soon when he takes a step back leaving me feeling alone. Both of us are panting from our fierce passion. "Chloe, we can't." I leap off of the counter and take his hand. "Scott, what is the point in ignoring our feelings for each other, it is clear that we both feel the same way, and" "Stop!" Oh no, he is switching, I can see the blue in his eyes fading. "No, no, no, no, no, Scott stay with me, focus." He tries to push me away, but I am not backing down, I tighten my grip on his hand. I wrap my arms around him and I hug him tightly. "Just breathe," I say as calmly as I can. I am aware that if he shifts into a rage he will hurt me but I need to try.
With my head resting on his hard chest now, I hear his rapid breathing. A few seconds pass and after a few failed attempts to push me away, he finally gives up and his breathing relaxes but to be safe I don't let go. He shifts a little then returns my hug, his hug is gentle and sincere. "Chloe?" His voice is soft and confused, I don't say anything, instead I nod my head against his head. "But, how did you..." "Shhh" I silence him. Our hug deepens and he rests his head on mine.
We finally let go of each other and he places a soft peck on my forehead. "You are a very mysterious woman, Ms Sanderson." I smile at him, honestly, I am just glad I could stop the ticking time bomb. "To answer your unfinished question, I honestly don't know how I did it, I simply just hugged you." "I gave you your first kiss, and you are the first person to ever stop one of my rage episodes. Seems like we both gain a few things from each other."
This cannot be true, can it? I'll ask him for reassurance some other time, for now, I am enjoying our moment. "I am sorry that I gave you your first kiss without your permission." I hug him and give him a small kiss then walk toward the door to head to bed, after all, it has been a very entertaining night and to avoid any more heated kissing I think sleep is a good idea. Before I reach my room, I stop and call Butcher, and then see him happily wagging his tail making his way towards me, and behind him follows Scott.
"I was hoping I could persuade you into taking a shower with me?" My cheeks flush red at his statement, but shortly after he starts laughing making me relax and realize it is just a joke. He walks into my bedroom behind me. "I just came to say goodnight." "How sweet of you." He tucks me into bed and plants a kiss on my forehead. I am enjoying these kisses.
Before he exits the room I stop him, "Scott." "Yeah" "I am happy that you were my first kiss." He smiles at me and then leaves. Clearly that made him happy, jeez if this had such an effect imagine if I fell for his shower joke.
Butcher is lying on his back, sprawled out across my bed, giving me the smallest of space. It feels amazing to not be alone in the bed anymore and it feels even better not to be in that cold basement. My thoughts are interrupted by the sound of the shower in the room next door. The idea lingers and I want to take him up on his joke.
I think to myself, 'should I?'
