Chapter 4: Sweet Gestures

The kitchen in Jin’s luxurious apartment was a flurry of activity. Jin had taken the day off to indulge in his passion for cooking, particularly the dessert pancakes Hana loved so much. He had heard about her fondness for the fluffy, syrup-drenched delicacies from his brother Namjoon, and he decided it was time to use that information to his advantage.

He carefully mixed the batter, his movements precise and practiced. Each pancake was flipped with a deft hand, golden-brown and perfectly round. The smell of vanilla and butter filled the kitchen, a comforting aroma that Jin hoped would bring Hana as much joy as it had brought him in preparing it.

Once the pancakes were stacked high on a plate, Jin placed them in a stylish takeout box, ensuring they were still warm. He knew that he couldn’t deliver them personally—his presence might raise suspicion—but he had a plan. Namjoon, who was skilled at blending in and making a good impression, would deliver them to Hana.

Jin called Namjoon, giving him detailed instructions. “Make sure she knows they’re from me. She loves these pancakes, and I want to make sure she feels appreciated.”

Namjoon agreed without hesitation. “Understood. I’ll make sure she gets them.”

Later that day, Hana was once again in the library, a place she had come to frequent for some peace and quiet. She was engrossed in her work when Namjoon approached her, holding the takeout box with a warm smile.

“Hi, Dr. Lee,” Namjoon said as he reached her table. “I’ve got a little something for you.”

Hana looked up in surprise, her eyes widening when she saw the box. “Oh, what’s this?”

Namjoon set the box on the table and opened it, revealing the stack of perfectly cooked pancakes. “Jin, my brother, made these for you. He heard you love dessert pancakes and wanted to treat you.”

Hana’s eyes sparkled with delight. “Really? That’s so thoughtful of him.”

Namjoon watched as Hana eagerly took out a pancake, her face lighting up with genuine happiness. “Yes, Jin’s quite the cook. He’s been perfecting this recipe for years. I hope you enjoy them.”

Hana took a bite, her face melting into a blissful expression. “These are amazing,” she said, her voice full of admiration. “Please thank Jin for me. This is exactly what I needed after such a long day.”

Namjoon nodded, pleased with her reaction. “I’ll be sure to pass along your thanks.”

As Hana savored each bite, she and Namjoon continued their conversation. Namjoon, ever the skilled conversationalist, guided the discussion to topics Hana was passionate about. The conversation flowed effortlessly, with Hana feeling more relaxed and at ease with him.

There was something magnetic about Namjoon. His calm demeanor, his attentive listening—it all made her feel as though she was the most important person in the room. Even though Hana was tired and her guard was down, she couldn’t ignore the growing attraction she felt towards him. Namjoon was tall, well-built, and his presence was commanding without being overbearing. He was everything she hadn’t realized she needed.

Namjoon, for his part, knew exactly what he was doing. Each interaction was carefully crafted to build a connection, to make Hana feel special and valued. He was aware of the growing attraction between them and used it to his advantage. The more Hana grew fond of him, the easier it would be for the rest of the boys to integrate into her life.

He had a plan, a strategy that required patience and precision. Once Hana was completely enamored with him, he could introduce the others one by one, each of them playing their part to further entrench themselves in her life. But for now, Namjoon knew he had to be careful. Any misstep could unravel the progress they had made.

As the afternoon wore on, Hana finished her pancakes and their conversation continued. Namjoon’s charm was undeniable, and Hana found herself drawn to him in a way she hadn’t expected. She laughed at his jokes, enjoyed his stories, and felt a connection she hadn’t felt in a long time.

Eventually, the conversation came to an end, and Hana reluctantly realized she needed to get back to her work. She stood up, feeling a sense of contentment that had eluded her for weeks.

“Thank you again, Namjoon,” she said, offering him a warm smile. “This was a wonderful surprise.”

Namjoon returned her smile with one of his own, his eyes reflecting a mixture of satisfaction and something more—a promise of what was to come. “I’m glad you enjoyed it. I’ll let Jin know.”

As Hana gathered her things, Namjoon watched her with a mixture of pride and anticipation. He knew that his plan was working. Hana was beginning to fall for him, and once that bond was solidified, the rest of the boys would step in, each contributing to the intricate web they were weaving around her.

For now, though, Namjoon had to maintain his role with care. He needed to ensure that Hana remained unaware of the full extent of their involvement, that she continued to see him as a friend and a confidant rather than as part of a larger scheme.

As he left the library, Namjoon’s mind was already turning towards the next steps. Each move needed to be calculated, each interaction carefully planned. The stakes were high, and failure was not an option.

Back at the apartment, Jin received Namjoon’s update with a satisfied nod. The plan was moving forward, and Hana was more entrenched than ever. The process would be slow, but they were making progress.

Jin sent a quick message to the group chat:

Jin: Namjoon’s done his part. Hana’s starting to fall for him. Keep it up, everyone.

The responses were swift and filled with encouragement:

Yoongi: Good job. We’re one step closer.

Jungkook: She’s going to love him even more soon.

Taehyung: Can’t wait to see the next phase.

Hoseok: Keep her close, Namjoon.

Jimin: We’re making progress.

Namjoon: I’ll keep you updated.

As the evening settled in, Namjoon looked forward to the days ahead. The plan was unfolding just as they had hoped, and Hana was moving closer to them, one step at a time. They were patient, persistent, and above all, determined. Hana’s journey into their world had only just begun, and Namjoon was ready to guide her through it, step by step.
