The next day at college, Y/N wandered the hallways, trying to keep a low profile, hoping to avoid any encounters with Jungkook. But it seemed like fate had other plans for her. As she turned a corner, she spotted him in the distance, surrounded by his usual group of friends, his presence as commanding and intimidating as ever.

But this time, something was different. Walking beside him, clinging to his arm, was a girl Y/N had never seen before. She was stunning—tall and slender with flawless skin, her legs seemingly endless in a tiny, tight-fitting skirt. Her crop top revealed a toned midriff, and her long, silky hair cascaded down her back in perfect waves. She looked like she had stepped straight out of a magazine, exuding confidence and allure with every step.

Y/N’s stomach twisted with disgust as she watched the girl laugh at something Jungkook said, her hand playfully slapping his chest. Jungkook, for his part, was smiling—actually smiling—something Y/N hadn’t seen him do often. His usual smirk was replaced by a genuine grin as he leaned in closer to the girl, clearly enjoying her company.

Y/N felt a wave of nausea roll over her. She knew she had no right to feel anything about who Jungkook chose to spend his time with, but the sight of him with another girl, acting so casually affectionate, made her feel sick. She tried to convince herself that it didn’t matter—that it was none of her business—but the knot in her stomach refused to loosen.

As she forced herself to walk past them, she made sure to keep her head down, hoping he wouldn’t notice her. But it seemed Jungkook was too engrossed in his conversation to even glance her way. Y/N felt a strange mix of relief and disappointment as she slipped by unnoticed.

She hadn’t gone far when she overheard someone say the girl’s name—Aria. It turned out she was also a senior, just like Jungkook. The name floated around the campus, whispers about how they looked good together, how Aria was the perfect match for someone like Jungkook. It was as if everyone had already accepted that they were an item, and the thought made Y/N’s blood boil.

Later that day, as Y/N was washing her hands in the bathroom, she was startled by the door swinging open behind her. She looked up in the mirror and saw Aria and two other girls walking in, their expressions hard and unfriendly. Y/N felt her heartbeat quicken as she sensed the tension in the room.

Aria sauntered up to her, standing much too close for comfort. “So, you’re Y/N,” Aria said, her voice dripping with condescension. She looked Y/N up and down, her gaze critical and dismissive. “I’ve heard about you.”

Y/N raised an eyebrow, trying to hide her discomfort. “And what exactly have you heard?”

Aria crossed her arms over her chest, her eyes narrowing. “That you’ve been hanging around Jungkook. Let me give you a piece of advice: stay away from him. He’s not someone you should be getting involved with.”

Y/N felt her anger flare up at Aria’s tone. Who did this girl think she was, telling her what to do? She could feel the tension in her body building as the other girls closed in, trying to intimidate her. But Y/N wasn’t going to back down.

“Is that so?” Y/N replied, her voice steady despite the rage bubbling inside her. “And who exactly are you to tell me what I should or shouldn’t do?”

Aria’s eyes flashed with annoyance, and she stepped even closer, invading Y/N’s personal space. “I’m someone who cares about Jungkook. He doesn’t need some pathetic little girl like you messing with his head. You’re just a distraction, nothing more.”

Y/N felt a surge of anger course through her veins. “A distraction?” she echoed, her voice rising. “If that’s all I am, why are you so threatened? Sounds to me like you’re the one who’s worried.”
