Naomi's pov

You know what I hate most in this world, it's the first Monday of a new month and in this country again made everything worse.

"NAOMI!!" My mum shouted form downstairs and it was just five thirty in the morning.

"Yes mum!" I half shouted rubbing my eyes and stepping out of my bed to meet her.

"Don't tell me you were still sleeping" my mum said as I was made visible in the kitchen.

I rolled my eyes but knelt down and greeted her anyways. "Where is Ruth?" I asked her and she sighed, she is upstairs getting ready, you should also be fast oo, you don't want to be late to school, Today is Monday please" she said and I nodded my head before skipping up the stairs to my room.

Hi, my name is Naomi, this is a daily thing in my life.

I rubbed my face and entered the bathroom having a quick bath then brushed my teeth and made my way back into my room.

I wore my uniform.
*will be shown in the chapter the twins get their uniforms.

And made my way downstairs bumping into my sister and spilling whatever liquid she had in her cup all over us.

"O my gosh, Naomi!" She whined and I grimaced.

"Sorry" I said going into the kitchen and serving myself a bowl of cereal.

"You guys should be quick ooo" my mum said smoothing down her skirt.

"I won't be back early tonight so you guys should make yourself dinner and sleep okay" she said dropping some cash on the counter.

"If you want to be early, enter the car now o!" My mum said and I rushed my food dropping the plates into the sink and unplugging my phone running out the door locking it behind me.

I entered the small Corolla and shut the door before my mum drove off.

I entered the class I was assigned to and sat down in the middle row resting my head on the desk.

"Naomi!," my friend screeched into the classroom.

"I missed you so much though" she said taking her seat beside me.

"We saw each other last week though" I said and she smiled hugging me, I hugged her back and opened my bag reaching into my bag to take a novel.

"Aren't you going to ask me why I missed you, I have gist" she said and i dropped my book turning to face her.

"You have to speak fast o" I said and she laughed.

"I heard we have new students" she said and i furrowed my eyebrows.

"You are going to have to elaborate sweetheart" I said and she frowned.

"They are twins sha, their gender have not been revealed yet, but people said they transferred from Canada, I think" she said and clapped her hands.

"I really hope they are girls" I said and she scoffed.

"Oh please, they better be boys, let me find new boyfriend, I am already tired of Kunle" she said and I exclaimed.

"Betty!" I said covering my mouth and she shrugged, I laughed.

"Where is Sharon?" I asked looking around the class.

"Didn't you hear?, her grandmother died and she went for the funeral" she said and I nodded sighing.

Thirty minutes later the class started to fill up, the popular students entered and the whole class was erupted in noise.

"Did you guys hear about the new students"Amanda said to her gang of minions and they all started talking about them, I scoffed at them.

"What if the new students are girls?" I said to Betty and she sighed dropping her pen on her opened notebook.

"That one no even concern me" she said and I laughed.

"Good morning students" Our principal came into the class with a new face, murmurs were heard and She silenced it with two claps of her manicured fingers.

"We have a new student here, her name is Edith, she just transferred here from her old school please make her feel welcome" she said.

"Class captain, who is your class teacher?" The principal asked and the class captain answered.

"Um..Miss Taylor" He answered and she nodded.

I looked at the new student and she looked really shy and distant like she didn't want to be here, she was beautiful no doubt with her braided hair and her framed glasses that sat on her nose, the uniform hugged her very well showing her slim waist and long legs.
I could already see the boys eyeing her.

"Edith you can have the seat beside Jethro" our principal said and raised he raised his hand, she scurried to the seat and sat down immediately.

Jethro was the second most Handsome boy in our school with Luke coming first, they were best friends though.

Jethro started talking to her and I slapped my forehead.

"Who is the assistant class captain?" Mrs Tayo (our principal) asked and I rose my hand.

"Make sure to write her name in the class attendance and show her around please" she said and exited our class and everyone surrounded her table.

"Let me get to work before I get removed" I said making my way to her seat.

"When you come back, borrow me your Chem note" Betty said and I nodded.

"Hey um...why is your full name?" I asked her and she looked at me.

"Edith Babatunde" she said and I nodded walking back to my seat. I opened my bag and gave Betty my note before seating down and getting ready for the next class.

"Naomi, where are you?" Ruth asked me and I groaned.

"In the living room, what do you want?" I asked her and she came into the living room.

"Go and start cooking o" she said and i eyed her up and down.

"What happened to your own hands and legs?" I asked her and she hissed.

"Anything I cook will not enter your mouth" she said and walked away.

"So if I now cook, you will eat?" I asked her and heard her hiss.

She was a really loud girl

I resumed watching TikTok on my phone before Betty's name appeared on my phone.

"Wassup?" I asked her as I pressed the phone to my ear. She started talking and I listened attentively while doing my assignments.

"I hate him...I wanted to break up oo, but he broke up with me first" she said and started sobbing.

I laughed a little and she gasped.

"Are you laughing, Naomi I am here ranting to you and you are laughing, in fact it is me that wasted my time to call you" she said and hung up without giving me time to explain myself.

I shrugged and dropped my phone on the table and continued my assignment.

I feel like I tried my best even though this chapter was trash😭😭😭😭
I hate it so much, but you know what I published it and now you guys have to deal with it.
