“I’m standing right in front of the shop, waiting for you in my car,” Denna said over the phone, her tone casual. Martin had called her that morning, asking for help with something, and she had agreed without hesitation.

As soon as she hung up, Denna frowned. “Damn, there’s no parking space here. Where could I park my car?” she thought to herself, scanning the crowded street for a spot.

But before she could figure it out, a sudden jolt from behind slammed her forward, causing her head to hit the steering wheel. The impact left her feeling dizzy for a few seconds. Shaking off the wooziness, Denna quickly rushed out of her car to assess the situation.

Her heart sank as she saw what had happened. A sleek black Mercedes-Maybach S-Class had rear-ended her beloved Hyundai Eon, which she had affectionately named “Luffy.” Seeing the damage to her car, rage surged through her. Luffy was her first car, bought with her hard-earned money, and she’d always taken great care to keep it in pristine condition.

Fuming, she marched over to the Mercedes and knocked on the window. To her surprise, the window rolled down, revealing a man who looked her up and down before stepping out. He was tall, about 5'10", with long black hair tied in a bun, wearing a hoodie and black sunglasses. His height cast a shadow over her as he stood a bit too close, invading her personal space. She could smell his cologne scent. he slip his sunglasses in his eyes and it's set on his nose and show his  wild cat like eyes according to denna his facial features are more lively resembles to tiger.his coppery yellow  hazel eyes is now connected with her amber eyes.

“How can I help you?” the man said coyly, flashing a flirtatious smile that made Denna’s blood boil.

“Do you even realize what you’ve done to my car?” Denna snapped, pointing furiously at the damage. Luffy wasn’t just any car—it was her pride, her first major purchase. She had never let a single scratch mark its surface, and now this man had wrecked it.

The man straightened up, finally taking a look at the damage. Before he could say anything, another voice interrupted. “You stopped your car in the middle of the road without giving any indicator.”

Denna’s head whipped around to see a second man approaching from the passenger side of the Mercedes. His voice was familiar, but she couldn’t quite place it until she saw his face. Dressed in a sharp black coat, his hair was the darkest shade of blue, almost black. Recognition hit her like a ton of bricks—he was the very same man she had met on a disastrous blind date not long ago. His cold grey eyes locked onto hers, and Denna’s eyes widened in disbelief. Her frustration soared, now compounded by the fact that *he* was here, of all people.

“And you’re blaming us?” Kai’s voice was deep and edged with arrogance, his cold, egoistic demeanor seeping through every word. His attitude irritated Denna even more, as if he found some perverse pleasure in mocking her.

Denna was usually a composed and mature woman, but something about Kai made her lose her cool. “According to driving rules, there’s supposed to be an appropriate distance between two vehicles. If I made a mistake, you’re not exactly innocent either, mister,” she retorted, folding her arms across her chest and standing confidently. A mocking smile played on her lips as she met Kai’s icy gaze.

“Hey! Do you know her, Kai?” the first man asked in a hushed voice, sensing the tension between them. He found himself caught in the middle of what felt like a brewing storm, unsure of what to do.

Kai didn’t answer immediately, his eyes narrowing as he studied Denna. The air between them crackled with unspoken animosity, a cold war simmering just beneath the surface.

“No, I don’t,” Kai answered curtly. Denna felt a wave of discomfort wash over her. For a moment, she had thought he might remember her, but hearing his indifferent response made her relax, even if just a little.

Kai Hiwatari—grandson of the CEO of Biovolt Wars, the world’s largest arms manufacturer, and now its COO—looked at her with cold detachment. “You should’ve used your indicator before braking so suddenly in the middle of the road,” he said, his tone sharp.

Before Denna could retort, a hand suddenly rested on her shoulder. She flinched, spinning around in alarm, only to find Martin standing there, his face etched with concern.
“What happened? Do you know these guys?” Martin asked, his eyes flicking suspiciously between Kai and Rick.

“No, I don’t,” Denna replied quickly, forcing a calm she didn’t feel. “It’s just a minor accident, that’s all.”

“Are you okay? Did you get hurt?” Martin’s voice was anxious, his concern bringing a fleeting warmth to Denna’s heart. For a brief moment, she forgot about the accident and her frustrations. But then reality crashed back in—Martin’s concern was just an act of kindness, nothing more.

“I’m fine. It’s just a small dent on the car,” Denna said, glancing back at Luffy. Her eyes met Kai’s again, and her brief smile vanished, replaced by a scowl.

“Insurance should cover it,” Martin said, turning to Kai with a reassuring smile. “I’m sure it’s nothing too serious.”

“If it’s my fault, I’ll cover the costs,” Denna cut in, handing her business card to Rick before Martin could say anything else. She didn’t want to drag this out, especially not in front of Martin. Turning on her heel, she headed toward the shop, Martin following close behind.

As they walked away, Rick, still leaning casually against the car, watched them with a smirk. “Looks like the matter’s settled. We should head out; we’re already late for the meeting.”

Kai tilted his head slightly, his gaze lingering on Denna and Martin’s retreating figures. “Go ahead, Rick. I’ll catch up—I’ve got a call to make,” Kai replied, his voice tight.

Rick raised an eyebrow, noticing the tension in his friend’s voice. “You sure this isn’t about that girl or something to do with your grandfather?” Rick teased, knowing Kai’s usual cool demeanor had been shaken.
Rick know kai very well they are friends for so long . Rick Edison  is well known owner of the large range of  five star hotels . and has the name of the list of youngest billionaires of the world . but he also famous for his flirtatious  personality or for his dating scandals .

Kai’s eyes narrowed as he slipped his phone from his pocket. “It’s nothing like that. Just some unfinished business I need to take care of,” he said, his gaze still locked on the door Denna had just walked through.

Rick chuckled, his tone cocky. “Seems like something got under your skin. Careful, Kai—might mess up that perfect image of yours.” He climbed into the car, leaving Kai standing alone, deep in thought.

Inside the jewelry shop, Denna tried to steady her nerves, the encounter with Kai still fresh in her mind. She took a deep breath, forcing herself to focus on Martin, who seemed oblivious to her internal struggle.

“So, what are you looking for, and who’s it for?” Denna asked, managing a smile even as her heart ached.

Martin’s cheeks flushed slightly as he looked away, a shy smile playing on his lips. “It’s for Aniya. I want to get her something special... Today’s our fifth anniversary, and I’m planning to propose.”

Denna felt her world shatter. A wave of emotion crashed over her, threatening to pull her under. She could barely stand, her legs trembling as the weight of Martin’s words hit her. The man she had loved in silence for so long was about to propose to someone else—and he wanted her help to choose the ring. The pain was almost unbearable, but she fought to keep her composure.
