The second trial day came sooner than expected. Both Jungkook and Wonwoo were determined to win the case at any cost. They glanced at each other with a fierce look as they entered the courtroom. Soon the trial began after the arrival of the judge.
The judge asked for the weapon, "Was the weapon found?"
"We are sorry, my Lord, but no." Hoseok apologetically answered, making the judge sigh.
"Attorney Kim, any progress so far?" The judge then asked Jungkook, who stood up with a confident smirk.
"Yes, my Lord. If you allow, I may proceed." Jungkook confidently replied and started his claims after getting the confirmation. "As I mentioned earlier, it was a clear-framing case. On August 14, my client was at a racing event. I was along with him and watched the race the entire time. There was no minute when Mr. Seungmin was off the track or missing from the race. Here is some race footage of that night." Jungkook provided the footage to the clerk.
"Moreover, through my research, I have gotten to know that my prosecutor friend here has some history with the Lee family. It is said that Jeon Jeongguk, the brother of Jeon Wonwoo, had bad blood with the Lee family, along with the victims. And now he is fighting the case for them. Isn't that suspicious?" As Jungkook mentioned, Wonwoo's eyes widened and the courtroom filled with murmurs.
"Order, order, order! What are you trying to imply with that claim of yours, Attorney Kim?" The judge asked, fixing his glasses.
Jungkook smiled slightly as he continued, "What I am trying to say is what are the odds Prosecutor Jeon is not trying to frame my client in order to settle scores with the Lees on his brother's behalf? Also, judging the history of the bikers they were no less of a criminal and that too involved in Lees. And Prosecutor Jeon is someone who barely fights for previous criminals. Not just any criminal but the ones involved with Lees. So, my attorney senses say that- -"
"Objection, my Lord. Mr. Kim is trying to involve my personal life in my professional one. That is highly unappreciative. And it has no relevance in this case!" Wonwoo cut off Jungkook by objecting.
