Suga stood at the entrance of his new high school, the crisp autumn air ruffling his dark hair. Transferring in the middle of the semester wasn't ideal, but his family had moved, leaving him no choice. Adjusting the strap of his bag, he took a deep breath and walked through the gates, ready to face whatever came his way.

As he navigated the crowded hallways, Suga couldn't help but feel the weight of being the new kid. He was used to keeping to himself, preferring the company of his music over people. But today, something or rather, someone caught his attention. A girl with Y/H/C hair and a mysterious aura walked past him, her eyes briefly meeting his. There was something in her gaze, something that made Suga's heart skip a beat.

"Hey, you're new, right?" a cheerful voice broke his thoughts. He turned to see a girl with bright eyes and a wide smile standing in front of him. "I'm Luna. You must be Suga?"

"Yeah," Suga replied, surprised by how quickly she had approached him.

"Great! Let me show you around. This place can be a maze if you're not used to it," Luna said, her voice full of energy. She didn't give him a chance to refuse, linking her arm with his and leading him down the hall.

As they walked, Luna pointed out the different classrooms, the cafeteria, and the best places to hang out during lunch. Suga appreciated her friendliness, though he couldn't shake off the image of the girl from earlier.

"Who's that?" he asked, nodding toward the girl he had noticed. She was now sitting in the back of a classroom, her eyes focused on a book.

Luna's smile faltered for a moment, but she quickly recovered. "That's Y/N. She's... complicated. Used to date one of the popular guys, Jungkook, but things didn't end well. She doesn't really talk to anyone much these days."

Suga nodded, intrigued. He wasn't one to pry into people's lives, but there was something about Y/N that drew him in. He made a mental note to learn more about her.

A week had passed, and Suga had started to settle into his new school. He had made a few friends, mainly through Luna, who seemed to know everyone. Among them were Namjoon, Jimin, and Taehyung—guys who were popular and had a reputation for causing trouble. They were friendly enough, and Suga found himself hanging out with them more often than not.

One day, during lunch, the group gathered at their usual spot outside, away from the prying eyes of teachers. The conversation was light, but it soon took a turn when Taehyung brought up Y/N.

"She's like a ghost, man," Taehyung said, shaking his head. "Ever since Jungkook dumped her, she's been avoiding everyone."

"Why are we even talking about her?" Namjoon asked, rolling his eyes. "She's not worth the time."

"I don't know," Jimin chimed in with a smirk. "I think it'd be fun to see who could get her to open up again."

"You mean like a bet?" Taehyung grinned mischievously. "I'm in."

Suga, who had been quietly listening, raised an eyebrow. "A bet?"

"Yeah," Jimin said, turning to Suga with a challenging look. "You're the new guy. Why don't you give it a shot? See if you can get her to fall for you. If you do, we'll let you in on all the perks of being in our group."

Suga hesitated. He wasn't one for games, especially not ones that involved people's feelings. But something about the challenge intrigued him. Maybe it was the mystery that surrounded Y/N, or maybe it was just the thrill of proving himself to these guys.

"Fine," Suga agreed, trying to sound indifferent. "I'll do it."

Suga knew he had to approach Y/N carefully. From what he had heard, she wasn't someone who easily let people in. Over the next few days, he observed her from a distance, trying to figure out the best way to strike up a conversation without coming off as too forward.

His chance came one afternoon in the library. Y/N was sitting alone at a table, reading a book. Suga walked up to her, pretending to browse the shelves nearby. After a few moments, he pulled out a book at random and sat down across from her.

"That's a good one," Y/N said, her voice soft but firm.

Suga looked up, surprised. "Oh, you've read it?"

"Yeah," she replied, her eyes never leaving the page of her book. "It's a classic."

Suga glanced at the cover of the book in his hand. It was a novel he had never heard of. "I'm Suga, by the way. We're in the same math class."

Y/N nodded, but didn't say anything more. Suga could tell she wasn't interested in small talk, so he decided to try a different approach.

"I've noticed you like reading," he said, leaning back in his chair. "I'm into music myself. I find it's a good way to escape reality for a bit."

Y/N looked up at him then, her expression softening slightly. "I feel the same way about books."

"Maybe you could recommend me something good to read?" Suga asked, trying to keep the conversation going.

Y/N hesitated, then shrugged. "Sure. If you're really interested."

"I am," Suga said with a small smile. "I'm always looking for something new to get into."

Y/N finally closed her book, a faint smile playing on her lips. "Alright. I'll bring you something tomorrow."

Suga nodded, feeling a small victory. As he left the library, he couldn't help but feel a twinge of guilt. Y/N seemed like a genuinely nice person, and he wasn't sure if he was doing the right thing by playing along with the bet. But it was too late to back out now.
