A/N: incase you haven't read the first part, this book doesn't revolve around romance even if it look likes it at first but there will be huge plot twists.

She did not mean to choose darkness, but it knew her name before she could speak it.
And when love came, it wore too many faces and left too many scars.
In a world of spells and secrets, she was the question no one dared to ask and the answer they feared to find.
She kissed the wrong mouths.
Trusted the right liars.
And through it all - the voices called. The fire lit behind her eyes.
The truth twisted like a serpent around her wrist, marked in black, branded by fate.
She did not ask for darkness. But darkness, oh, it chose her.

Great. I had just arrived and already hated Scotland's weather.
The rain hadn't stopped since the train screeched to a halt. It only got worse once I was crammed into the backseat of the car with my mother and her new husband.
Maybe it was because they were leaving .
Since she met John, everything had collapsed. At first, I tried to be supportive, she looked so infatuated with him that I couldn't bring myself to ruin it. But after the wedding and the too-perfect honeymoon, she returned with news: they were moving abroad.
Without me
Apparently, John had some connections in Scotland and could get me into one of the most "prestigious wizarding schools"
Hogwarts.
My mother agreed, said it would be good for me. Said it like I was a burden she had to tuck away before living her new perfect life.
And a few weeks after, there was me, at the back of a car on my way to hell.
I rolled my eyes, John hadn't stopped talking since we left home. His voice was like static in my skull.
"And make sure you say hello to-"
"I'll say hello to everyone if you shut up," I muttered, slipping my headphones on.
My mother shot me a glare. "They'll teach you some manners too, hopefully."
John scoffed. I hummed and closed my eyes, ignoring them both out.
