Due to circumstances, New Yorker teen Braedey Martin has to travel forth to Japan and attend Kyoto Academy. There, he makes some new friends and possibly some romance ensues, and who knows what else.

Up in the skies, a Japan Airlines Boeing 787 Dreamliner jet was making its journey from New York to Tokyo. With a flight time of 14 hours and 40 minutes, the journey being 6,795 miles. Onboard the plane, Braedey had been taking the chance to read up as much as he can about Japanese culture and such.
'I've got a lot to learn about Japan and everything else there.' Braedey thought to himself. He then began to think about this Miss Sunohara his mother mentioned. 'What is she like? Is she friendly? Mom didn't tell me much about her, aside from her living in Kyoto. I am really curious about her. What's her personality?'
"Ladies and gentlemen, this is your captain speaking." The pilot's voice now spoke out on the P.A, now getting everyone's attention throughout the plane. "We are making our descent to Haneda International Airport. Please put your chairs to their upright position, and stow away your tray tables to their locked position. Flight attendants, please take your seats."
Braedey sets his chair back upright, and he puts the tray table back. He then looked out the window, and he could just see the city of Tokyo along the coastline. But, he also saw the airport coming into view.

Haneda Airport, sometimes referred to as Tokyo-Haneda, is one of two international airports serving the Greater Tokyo Area, the other one being Narita International Airport. It serves as the primary domestic base of Japan's two largest airlines, Japan Airlines (Terminal 1) and All Nippon Airways (Terminal 2), as well as RegionalPlus Wings Corp, Skymark Airlines and StarFlyer. It is located in Ōta, Tokyo, about 15 kilometres (9.3 mi) South of Tokyo Station. The facility covers 1,522 hectares (3,761 acres) of land.

Soon, the Boeing 787 jetliner touches down on the single runway of the airport, the tyres screeching upon landing, as the plane slowed down to a stop. Braedey was jolted by the landing, but he reassured himself that everything was alright, and it was just a rough landing, nothing to get worked up about. Once stopped on the runway, the plane pulled up to the terminal, and it came to a stop, allowing the passengers to disembark and enter the terminal. After touching down in Handea, Braedey had made his way through security and gotten his luggage, but he was completely stunned and amazed by the sheer amount of people and magnitude of the place. It was unlike anything in New York.
