Wow, Sophie thought as Keefe left and Grady came after him, there was a deafening and awkward silence no one seaming to know what to say till Edaline cleared her throat "I'll let you two talk" she said before hurrying to the kitchen

"Listen Sophie I'm so sorry, I was just hurt and jealous, and its no excuse for what I said, its just the girl who I like, who I let walk away like my BEST friend and the worst part is- I know that you two would be a better and happier couple than we would have ever been, I mean I've seen the way you two look at each other like nothing else matters like your problems and worries have melted away, we never had that, and I guess its just hard to let go... but I'll try to move on I promise."

Sophie stood there stunned, had Fits really just said that? she quickly snapped out of it. "Fitz, I don't know what to say that means a lot, it really does, I really am sorry it didn't work out between us, we just Weren't meant to be, but there is a girl for you out there, and when you find each other I'm sure you'll make each other as happy as Keefe makes me, I promise"

"Don't make promises yo can't keep" Fitz laughed whipping a tear out of his eye, "so were good?" "yeah, were great," "friends?" she asked "friends" Fitz answered, "now lets see if the cognate inquisition works" he said holding his hand out "yeah lets Sophie said grabbing it and as they went to sit any lingering tension disappeared and she knew that it might take time but they would be ok.

"ready?", "ready" so she channeled all her energy and concentration onto the gadget Fits doing the same and the got, "1,012", "that's amazing Sophie exclaimed "it is but should we test again to make sure its not a fluke?" Fitz asked

"definitely"Sophie told him and this time... 1,016.
