“Let me feed your cat and dogs, I brought their food.”
”Let me join you when you're alone in the dark.”
“Let me wipe your tears and shed you with my warmest tight hugs."
Indeed, to loved is to be known. A kind of love language, an acts of service. What a full package of love is truly what I'm looking for.
Why would I settle for less if my boy best friend gives me the princess treatment I deserve? Can't afford the expensive one but surprisingly treated right.
“Just let me love you...” Dwayne said and my heart's skip for a bit.
“Ha?” I respond out of curiosity.
“No more lies, no more things to hide, just let me love you period no erase.” Saying those words from his mouth builds an unexpected smile from my face and creates a spark on my eyes.
“But... we're friends. I don't wanna ruin it just because I let you to love me, Dwayne.”
“Because there's nothing wrong with those very best friends slowly become lovers, there's nothing ruins because we can still preserve our friendship while we're lovers. Just let me love you, that's the important.”
I don't know what to react. I'm still in blank space, speechless and clueless. But what if? How will we know if we don't try? I think it's time to give myself the love I'm always praying to God and to grab the chance, take the risk for Dwayne because a gentleman like him is rare nowadays.
I truly believed that love will always find ways. Like having someone you love in friendship at the same time. Like you don't need to worry about things that makes you overthink at because you know that someone out there will never lose the chance and waste time to make you feel worthless.
“Dwayne...” I called his name for the first time again.
“Yes, Reign?” Oh to be loved by a soft-spoken with emotional intelligence man like him ack!
“I don't want you to get hurt but...” I don't know what to say, tears from my eyes keep falling from my cheeks. It signifies that I can't truly utter words unless I cry.
“What do you mean, there's no chance? Then if there's not, maybe someday, I'll give you time to think. I'll wait for it. I won't force myself towards you. I'll be better to be deserving for you.”
“No! That's not what I mean. Yes, I'm letting you to love me. As your girl best friend and at the same time your future girlfriend. Yes, I repeat I'm letting you to love me.” Finally, I utter those words from the bottom of my heart straightforwardness.
“Reign, woah! OMG! Is this for real? Am I not dreaming? Yey!” Witnessing how he's so happy, shouting and jump from happiness feels like I'm on cloud nine.
“True the fire!” I jokingly split my words haha.
“Will you be my girlfriend, my best friend, Reign?” While saying those words, I can't imagine his tears fell from his cheeks, a tears of joy.
“Will I deny? Of course not. Yes, I do want to be your girlfriend and at the same your best friend!”
“Woah! Thank you. I'm the luckiest man in the world! Thank you, Reign. I love you and promise to be here for you through your ups and downs. Mark my words, swear to God.” After hearing those words I immediately kiss him on lips and hug him so tight like I won't let him go forever.
“I love you too, you nerd guy!” Filled with laughs and joy while hugging each other.
I know he was shocked from what I've done with the stolen first kiss. He immediately kiss me again, a passionate kiss and gave me hugs again. Laying my head onto his shoulder and together watch the falling of the shooting star and make a wish.
Wearing an orange shirt with a beige jumper skirt dress, the wind blows my hair as I made a beautiful stare to the man beside me, wearing his overall black outfit with silver necklace, a handsome look. Eyes can't lie, it always says how deep is our love.
“You never knew how much happy I am today, beautiful lady.” He said while giving me his good-looking smile and get back to look at the stars in the sky. I just laugh, mo more words to utter. The butterflies in my stomach and the sparks when our bodies united are the means that love in two hearts beat will always remain.
Love is unconditionally and it truly conquerable. Even destiny can't dictate for whom you love. Invisible string theory exists. We didn't knew that the right person for us are those already with us, who witnessed our struggles and success and stayed with us all over years, and never left us in the darkness instead wipe our tears falling and brought joy as lights during storms.
Just let them love you, give them chance to prove themselves to you. Love will always find ways, if it's for you, it will for you. You only need patience and perseverance because love will comes to your way, no need to chase and look for it, it will come at the right time spontaneously. No more words, just love.
Found love and friendship in one person is more than enough and the best gift that ever received from above.
